Guys at my station got me with the air horns. Got told to go polish them and me being new and all that thought nothing of it...did not notice the guy in the cab grinning...
@ffjsb Well, since you know nothing of my station, I will tell you the condition. We have very old equipment. So on the last fire call we had the air horns were not working, we got back to the station and started wiring it to were we can hear it to make sure wires were connecting. So, to say it was a deafening experience is far from it, but loud enough so I know what sounded and I have heard a air horn up close, the thought scared me. We are all brothers, no fighting so no ass kicking. Period.
@Hobbitchoker I like a good joke as much as anybody, but some guys do some really stupid and dangerous things. You gotta think about what you're gonna do and the outcome.

If your gonna do this job, ya gotta learn to love water: our number one weapon against almost every fire. Plus you gotta get used to being wet and cold in your Turnout gear.
