I am a pens fan and love mike lange, but rick jeanneret is one of the best in hockey, i'd put him at worst second behind lange due to his enthusiasm and his passion for the game, he is the voice of the sabres like lange is of the penguins, it's a travesty that we have to listen to announcers like joe beninati on versus when the nhl needs these types of announcers portrayed more

I'm a Sens fan but I must say Rj is one of the best in the business, Gurtler didn't deserve the job during 1991-95 he sucked balls. He deserves a cup winner in Buffalo if not then let him call a cup final on NBC, Versus or Hockey Night In Canada.

I'm a fan of the NJD so for 14 years I've been listening to Mike Emrick, who is dubbed as the best in the business, but I admire RJ's enthusiasm and love for his Sabres and Buffalo. Wish i could see the games. If sabres were to win a cup, it better be in overtime i cant imagine Jeanneretes reaction haha

RJ is the one that inspired me to begin broadcasting Hockey games and he's my idol. Living in Buffalo my whole life, I had the honor of listening to RJ for 82 games a year, and 17 years. I pray and hope that you can call the Sabres winning the Cup and I know it's burning inside him to say those words. In the future, If I have the chance to call games for Buffalo, I want to wait until he's ready to hang it up, he can have all the time he wants. no, thank you Mr. Jeanneret.
