  • WOW.

  • i find the words to this song very easy to identify with.

  • Oops, I got sucked in.. Thought I'd learn by now about these type of Christians who think their big teachers of the bible. Don't mind me girls, I was never here..

  • Children, your embarrassing me. Why don't you just go & help someone. Physical help, they'll find out, but not by you. Eat some peaches, there so juicy this time of year.

  • This song is awesome. The music and lyrics are fantastic!!

  • Close your eyes

  • Hi VSnagglepuss :) howz ya going. Smiling!!!! 

  • I struggled to once, the keeper of the doorway in the spiritual realm that keeps you bound is the baphomet. He is the strongman of addiction, you'll need deliverance. God can do it supernaturally also just you n Him, but not always. There would be legal rites involved as well. This thing could also be hereditary. No wonder Christians aren't getting set free from theses. All the best.

  • @2424jpep (contunuation of my last comment) I would stronly recommend that you get to know your Bible well before making statements like that. While reading it, think about what it does and does not say, and don't go adding to the Scriptures. I write this knowing that it is an area in which I have struggled a lot, saying stuff like that which isn't from the Bible.

  • @HortBlam You know in your heart whether it is wrong or falls within Christian liberty if you are in community with Him. Just be honest with that and forget what people on YouTube say about it.

I would point out, however, that you consider the legality of the act in determining it's acceptability to God. We are called to submit to the authority set up above us, and that makes it hard to rationalize an act which contradicts the law (speeding also comes to mind :P)

  • @2424jpep I'm not saying smoking weed is smart or anything, in fact, I do believe that in most cases (excepting for example the instances in which it's medicinal properties help when nothing else does) it is an incredibly unwise to do, but what verse are you going to pull out of the Bible to support that legalism? I'm a Bible-reading, Bible-believing Christian, and I have not found one single verse in the Bible to clearly and incontrovertibly support that statement. I would strongly recommend t

  • @HortBlam You KNOW it is sin. Don't even attempt to justify it. Loved one, you may claim to be Bible reading and Believing Christian, but are you born again? You simply cannot not be in a right relationship with God and be wondering whether smoking weed is sin. A true child of God would have the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

  • @soulwarrior77 I normally avoid these discussion like the plague, but I have to say something here. You are giving many absolute statement about God and Christ but really not backing them with Scripture of any kind. You should note, I have never, and never plan to, smoke(d) weed, but that is something Christ simply never addressed. And, believe me, there were analogs. It is something universally panned by the church, as is gambling, but with both there was no biblical condemnation

  • @KainWeylin I can think of arguments against smoking weed, but I can think of even greater arguments about judgement, claiming Christ as the basis for your own presuppositions (using His Name in vain) and living lives devoid of love. Also using His Name to elevate yourself to a position of power/holier-than-thouness would be something He would not approve of. Stop putting words in His mouth. He can, and does, speak to us concerning the areas left blank in Scripture.

  • @KainWeylin But He does that through the Holy Spirit, not some random poster devoid of love spouting absolutes which He never said when He was on earth. /endrant

  • @soulwarrior77 I guess your example (weed) would also apply to the multi-billion/trillion dollar pharmaceutical industry too. I'm going to guess at least >75% of population has taken a psychotropic chemical drug prescribed by a physician. Don't use, it but at least "weed" is natural (plant) and put on this earth by God- It's comments like yours that keeps good Christians out of church: Matthew 7,1-5...and others..

  • All my life I've been searching for that crazy missing part. And with one touch, you just rolled away the stone that held my heart. And now I see that the answer was as easy, as just asking you in....

  • Best song he wrote--very beautiful.

  • I am sure he and David are rockin in heaven. Can't wait to hear that

  • @canaddar1 Smoking weed doesn't make one a bad person

  • smoking weed is sin. Sin is what makes you a bad person. Sin is why Christ died for you.

  • @2424jpep OMG go away

  • 16 people must have been convicted :) You'll never hear anyone like Keith now days, he was one of a kind!

  • Does his eyes look sad or just tired????

  • @DiamondHobbit I have seen that look on people that smoke a lot of weed.

  • I love him! I grew up listening to his music!

  • ...waking up from the longest dream... "Until your LOve broke through... searching... rolll away the stone on my heart.... gentle touch.....sweetness and strong...

  • I still get Gods Holliness coming over me when I put kieths songs on. Man, Gods kindness is disarming..

  • The sincerity and Christlike pureness is his voice flows through. I know he is with Jesus ,now, but I would have loved to hear him singing and making songs, today.

  • @thegonz1 I'm not sure how you'd explain Mozart then..he was composing masterpieces at age 7..But arguing about this is stupid..Talk to me about Jesus!

  • thegonz-

no we can't disregard his faith because Jesus is the reason he had that talent. And if i am really a follower of Christ.. which i am, than i cannot deny all good things come from Him. Keith was one of the few that actually used his talent to glorify his Creator.

  • @8989zip i know this is a christian artist so im going to have a lot of haters here, but you might believe jesus is lord or whatever, but his talent is from hard work and practice, and his creativity is his own.

  • @thegonz1 No haters....yes, he worked hard...but his talent was given to him by God....and he in turn used it to glorify his creator....blessings xo

  • It's a pity that he died so early.

  • this. is. amazing. phil keaggy's version is amazing....but to hear the songwriter sing it in its purest form is incredible. its like.......waking up from the longest dream haha. but forreal...this is awesome.

  • Does anyone agree that regardless of religious orientation this man is an incredible artist and songwriter?

  • @thegonz1 Yes thegonz1. In fact Keith Green signed a contract to write and perform rock and roll songs for a major label when he was only 11 years old. He is an undisputed prodigy. Have you seen him play piano in some of his other videos? The only other person I can think of who plays like that is Billy Preston. Keith found a love for Jesus that completely captured his heart. He could have been a super star but he gave everything to sing for the lord because that was all he desired.

  • He always brings me back to the bottom line. The unconditional love of Jesus.

  • Talented artist. Beautiful song.

  • I'm reading his life's story ---->No Compromise and his journey to finding Jesus is so amazing. He is an inspiration and I bet he is making beautiful music in heaven right now

  • He was a hippie, and not a very good one.

  • Never knew why christian friends back in the 80's liked Keith Green until now. I never was into christian rock, or contemporary styles, but he was obviously called and inspired by the Lord.

  • keith wrote a book before he crashed down with a plane,

he wrote that his records sold for 0 dollar

in germany the titel of the book was "kompromisslos"

i am christ, but i dont like christian music very well, but keith green and hayden are very good

    shalom

  • @TheOilenspiegel Check out "Woven Hand".(They play in europe a lot) I feel the same way as you about christian music.

  • one of the all time greatest artists for the cause of Christ that ever lived.

  • THIS MAN IS BEAUTIFUL BECAUSE I CAN HEAR GOD THROUGH HIS MUSIC.

  • I love this song... Keith Green is so awesome!

  • I saw Keith Green play one of his last shows at Jesus West Coast two weeks before the accident that took his and 11 other lives. Hearing this live version shows that Keith wasn't just on fire for Jesus, he truly was a GREAT musician even compared to other genres. I always have wondered where his music would have ventured if he had lived to record more music.

  • I-grew up with a hardman influence from a WW2 Sargent commando-type (2nd 27th Brigade) & a simple Christian woman but influences outside of the family home were mostly from a MURDEROUS violent & literally Satanic old world power & although I'd been born sweet as all kids are yet I'd had a capacity to be a little bad too & was kind of tough but crossing swords spiritually with Keith Green I'd realised he was one of the 3 toughest men I've ever seen in person & I'd thanked Christ he'd converted...

  • this is a very amazing song i love jesus ♥

  • One of my favorite #songs. Beautiful #music. @WeRockNetwork

  • Wow! Thank you. I have been looking for this for years . . .

  • What an absolutely beautiful song. It shows what can be done with a heart that is overflowing with love for the Lord.

  • im an athiest and i like him

  • I love how he sings with passion. Keith does not water down his songs to reach people who needs to know Jesus. Keith knew people needed the full gospel not water downed music with a weak message. If you sing the Gospel, The Good-New bring it with conviction because no body needs the Gospel watered down.

  • I miss Keith Green. He died at such an early age and we lost a precious jewel.

  • I was working at Hume Lake (a Christian Camp) when he died. It broke my heart

  • This is from Keith Green's late phase, and it always makes me rather sad to see him on the 700 Club...something he would never have done in the alive, prophetic 1977-81 period. Amazing how religion ensnares believers! Religious people killed Jesus. If he were to come to earth today, I suspect the same thing would happen again.

  • @freedomcalling1 Jesus came to earth specifically to die. It was God's plan. He WILL come to earth again, but He won't die this time. He will judge the entire earth and set up His kingdom.

  • @kevinfan726 I agree with your statement that Jesus will come again, this time to judge. And in His mercy He has even given us a glimpse of what the Judgment will be like. They'll be some big surprises! The "goats" will be unable to understand what is happening. So you can almost hear them now: "Lord, Lord, didn't we build big churches along interstates, and broadcast your message on radio and TV?" And He will turn to them...

  • @freedomcalling1 why would he not have performed there?

  • this song really speaks to my heart!!!!

  • Man this breaks my heart...but Lord, fill my broken heart with your love and grace, to your glory alone. Amen.

  • i love.............sooooo much

  • He was really a man of God, to bad he died so young, but used him while was alive, great singer.

  • Keith Green was brilliant :D Loved his songs - shame the Lord took him at such a young age!

  • I couldn't have said it better myself, "simply beautiful"

  • What year was this? Still a great song!

  • ...and I'm cryin again...simply beautiful...

  • Keith Green's legacy is a profound inspiration for living a life of utter devotion to God.

  • Love Keith Green!! Real!

  • no one sings with such passion today

  • God has given His children to his own unique part in the Body of Messiah, and we have been blessed with Keith Green's. And with Keith Green's example of being on fire for the Lord, and being an active member and disciple, let us all press toward the mark, for the imperishable crown, all for the Kingdom of God.

  • Love it...

  • giften man of God, more blessings

  • I love this man, plain and simple, Thank you Lord for inspiring this man, your work through him has touched so many people. He is a staple among Christian believers. If for just a precious time he was here, we thank you for him. Amen.

  • I love Keith Green. But is it me, or does he kinda look like the kid who played Mr. Tumnus in Narnia???

  • One of the best songs of all time. You can see Keiths Love for Christ by just watching him sing. Truly a man who was following after God. It inspires me to do the same.

  • God!!

  • God given!

  • A strong man believes in himself , a weaker man believes in a strong man and a weak man believes in GOD!

  • @szilardcsibi Thats a great onee! im going to quote that on my FB!

  • one of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard!

  • Im a backsliden Christian...can't even listen to this...i think i'm the seed that got choked out...many will come to me on that day...

  • @littleboeep The fact you confessed it says a lot. There's nothing in this world that could make the Lord stop loving you in a way that you're looking for. It's never too late. Honest prayers reach His ear and heart.

  • @littleboeep I used to feel this same way, and I often struggle with this sense of condemnation. However, the fact that you have admitted your need to repent is key, it's wonderful! So many fake Christians think they're all good, yet you realize that you have not been living a Christ like life. God does not want anyone to perish, and Jesus died so that YOU could be saved. What makes you think that if you return to God that He would reject you? Have faith! You can be saved! Praying for you!

  • @littleboeep God loves you and he is waiting for you with open arms just repent of your sins and trust him and follow him he is calling all prodicals home for he is comming back verry verry soon and wants you to be with him Jesus made a promise I will never leave you or forsake you and he never has you know hes tugging on your heart just surender to him give him your heart and life God bless you.

  • when was this video taken?

  • Simply one of the best songs ever written!

  • @fewaq I agree, one of the best songs ever

  • Oh the majesty this man is seeing and the songs that he is singing right now in the kingdom. I can't wait to see him someday and tell him how he ministered to me.

  • I listened to Keith's music when I was a new Christian. Nothing better to help me grow in my faith. Still brings me back to the sweet new love in the Lord!

  • Keith's music and message pierces my soul and spirit like no other can.

  • Keith still impacts my life. The night he died I was unaware of it. I was listening to his music for a couple of hours with a deep spriritual grieving in my heart. Praying in the spirit and not knowing why I was grieving so much. The next morning I got the phone call he had been promoted. I had handed out his album flyers to over 3000 people and used them as tracts. I now have a ministry mission home I use some of his principles at Last Days. keep pressing on! Be encouraged believer!

  • I agree with ohiokay...the greatest Christian singer of all time. Miss you, Keith!

  • Thanks u-tube...through the wonders of video...Keith is here...and his music is as alive as ever.

  • 13 disslikes??You either need Salvation or ear surgery!!

  • he's so good live!! wow <3 great lyrics

  • man im not looking for a thumbs up or nothing everyone, i just wanna say i gave my heart to god, after spending an hour just beating my self down with depression.

I dont know why but i just gotta tell everyone, the great news and i love everyone and god loves everyone. im just a kid but god has plans for everyone.....you might here of me preaching, cause im spreading gods word and love throughout this broken world....and everyone please pray for me

  • @mrthisisntamovie you are loved <3 praying for you

  • @mrthisisntamovie - I just read your comment % hope u r still serving God. Welcome to the family of God. Kids were especially loved by Him. He would take them on his knee and minister to them. In fact, He commands us all to become as little children if we're to inherit His Kingdom. You are special, precious and loved. I said a prayer for you. Stay strong. Congratulations on spreading the good news. If kids ruled this world, I feel it would be a kinder, gentler world with no wars.

  • This is awesome! My Dad and Keith wrote this song together along with Randy Stonehill.Yes they were once upon a time "lost" hippies "seeking" the truth in all the wrong places, but both soon fell deeply in love with Jesus and were transformed, and very sober by this time(:Keith asked to be my God father shortly b4 I was born at last day's ministries, and when I was almost one the plane went down and although I wish I grew up with Keith I truly think he might be making more of an impact from heaven

  • @danielSfishkind

Never knew your dad. Is he still writing music? This is a timeless song he will always be credited for.

  • @rsheehan888 Yeah he still writes although he hasn't had anything published in a long time. Hopefully soon as he's making a comback! My dad's name is Todd Fishkind. You can look up some of his youtube stuff by his name if you like. There's gonna be a movie based on Keith's life coming out soon....should be really good! God Bless You Brother!

  • It's amazing how even though he was only performing for about 6 or 7 years, his music is still changing lives 28 years later. I'm only 21 years old and I'm able to hear his voice glorifying our Lord!

Look what the Lord has done with 6 years of music!

  • Great musician and song but the 700 club is an anti-christ cult that our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ hasn't anything to do with. May those that follow the 700 club charlatans see the light. May God once again Bless the united states of America and destroy the enemies of Christ with double destruction.

  • i need to listen to more of this and get right with the lord.

  • @ginglen7 Amen!

  • @ginglen7 Only Jesus can make you right with God, turn to him.

  • @ginglen7

word of encouragement to you :) - this man's works are absolutely incredible and timeless. had it not been for his music, i don't know quite what my relationship to god would have ever been. listen to everything you can find on keith green, fall prostrate in your home to god and just worship the lord to all of it. you will see amazing things happen with your relationship to him. it will continue to strengthen that foundation you've built on solid rock and not sand.. :)

  • @ginglen7 Friend, I really believe you need to spend some time on your knees seeking GOD... As do I.

  • @ginglen7 Me too . I am feeling a conviction and seeing a need, my need for the "gospel roots" to spread to EVERY part of my heart.

  • @ginglen7 We ALL do! ...Our Lord is coming back....

  • @ginglen7 Just so you know there is NOTHING YOU CAN DO to get right with the lord..... He already made it right... You are pure in Gods sight because of the price that Jesus paid. Some times because we feel "dirty" because of what we have done we tend to push ourselves away from God, BUT Does not see your mistakes, you are not defined by your mistakes, you are a child of GOD.... Hope that helps

  • @ChrisMPiccirillo Thanks Chris. I frequently need that reminder of His overflowing love and grace. You softened my heart. Even when I feel I've grown cold and hard, He's always there showering His love on me - on us.

  • @ginglen7 Your'e in my prayers whoever you are ;)

  • i like how he didnt try to "stylize" his music like some supposedly-christian singers do where they put a man and a woman in the video and make it appeal to nonbelievers as a romance thing. he made it clear as day that he wasnt talking about a woman, but Jesus.

  • @thetimothyjr2155 I agree I don't have a problem with artists trying to use metal to get to teens because I think it is a good idea, and rap too, Gods word is all that matters, and as long as it isn't using sin to do it why not?

  • @thetimothyjr2155 I agree. Most songs are about the idolatry of the romance between a man and woman.

  • @thetimothyjr2155 I agree. Bands like Lifehouse and the Fray do that because maybe they know that not everyone believes in our savoir, so they write their songs to have both meanings. At first they might think it's just a love song but once they are saved they hear the real message behind the song. That's just a thought though. :)

  • @thetimothyjr2155 Yes, Keith was always so so grateful for his salvation. This song was his testimony. He is most grateful who has most to be grateful for, to semi quote the Bible. His passion for the Lord was undiminished to his last breath. Gone too soon

  • @BloodTar- God will judge those who profess 2b christians, and are not. Your comments remind me of the story in St. John 9: Jesus had healed the blind man. The pharisees said 2 the blind man, "Give God the praise, this man (Jesus) is a sinner". The man replied, "Whether He is a sinner I know not...I know that I was blind, now I see." Keith's songs glorified God; not himself. Over 25 yrs later, they are still changing lives for the better. Hope same 4 my life and all christians.

  • THIS IS TRULY the love song of all those touched by the Love and sacrificial GRACE of the Lord Jesus Christ. no one, ... NO ONE can Love you like Jesus. ... and HE IS THE ONE Who brings forgiveness and imparts immortality by the Holy Spirit.

  • Thank you "streamstree1" for sharing this video. I was fortunate to have seen Keith in concert at Long Beach, CA early 80's. Such an inspirational artist. Still have the two-volume set of "The Ministry Years" cd. He was part of my "born again" experience when I became a Christian.

  • not many artist have that : Instant beautiful voice in every live setting..Im so amazed!!

Also wish I knew him, he seems like such a nice guy :)

  • I wonder if he's stoned in this video? All you worshippers do realize that he was a burned out 60's doper, don't you?

  • @BloodTar -until we turn our lives over to Christ, we are all "burned out on something"--although we may not recognize or admit it. Quite often it's our own ego.

  • @utuberef

Well, apparently whoever he "turned his life over" to was derelict in their duty. How can any logical and rational thinking person, honestly claim that there was any divine protection over Keith Green's life? When the "Christian" heavy metal band Stryper was at their peak in the 80's, an ex-girlfriend of mine partied with them and she said there was dope everywhere. Christians need to realize that these "Christian" bands and singers aren't as spiritual as you believe them to be.

  • Christians know that their lives are in God's hand, and WHATEVER He allows for them, if they are truly following HIm, cannot touch them unless it is by His permission. Death is not the most terrible thing that can happen - Christians know that Jesus will raise us again from death - it is not the end - and there are worse things than death. As for drugs, they are prevalent everywhere. God gives US choice as to which way we will go - He never forces us. We don't look to people - but to Christ.

  • @BloodTar Who's saying that his mortal life on earth was protected because he was a Christian? That makes no sense. Nobody escapes death, whether it happens at 28 or 98, it happens. Yet Keith was given the promise of eternal life by his Savior, Jesus Christ.

  • Every time I hear a Keith Green song , I cant help but wonder why God chose to take him. It makes me think about what a waste my own life has been. All the times I could have been a better witness......could have read my Bible more.

    It's not too late !

Every day we have choices to make ! Keith has a legacy of music which God gifted him in. We dont need to sing or play piano to be a good witness for Jesus.

He told us to go out and spread the Gospel ! All of us can do that ! God gifted us too .

  • Cant wait to see keith again,

  • @jalgreen57

    You might not.

  • ...this is ...FANTASTIC, i heard keith green the first time...and i like it :)

    God Bless you all

  • Best ever! Not the modern day "christian" sissified...cross-less...uncommitted...greasy grace...compromised...vomited out of God's mouth [Rev. 3:15,16] stuff of today! Ha! Not even close!

  • When I first accepted Christ on New Years eve Dec 31st 1981 this is the first music I listened to....the people at the church I started attending listening to him all the time....simply the best ever

  • @susienc919 Amen. I had a similar experience. For me it was just seven months and three days later on the July 4, 1982. What a blessing it was listening to Keith's music in those early days. God is good.

  • Love this!!!

  • his voice is angelic! awesome music! praise Him!

  • thank you so much for sharing this video....Anything with Keith Green is beautiful..Because he was so beautiful and talented...thank you and God bless

  • Old school for sure, but does anyone else look at him and think Russell Crowe with a white boy Afro? #amirite?

  • @matjam68 lol great call- I never noticed it but he really does look just like Russel Crowe! Now anytime I watch a vid of him I'll be seeing Russel Crowe staring back at me, and won't be able to get his image out of my head! Thanks man! lol! (/jk) Take care!

  • his music is like millions of angels rejoicing

  • Until your love broke through- thank you, my Lord.

  • beautiful music.......thank you Jesus!

  • You can see that he really means what he's singing.

  • A psalmist and prophetic singer for sure. Highly anointed, and totally souled out. What an inspiration. It was an honor to be introduced to his music in my youth. The lord used it to carry me straight into adulthood

  • I love this song, it takes me back to youth encampments and concerts. The early 80's is when I made my first commitment to Christ, I thank Him for His servant, Keith and the music He blessed him with, he really touched my life, taught me how to praise God, for real.

  • I STILL CANT FIGURE OUT WHY THE LORD TOOK HIM SO EARLY IN HIS LIFE??

  • @edv177 His death is what made his ministry explode. If it wasn't for his death, then his ministriy wouldn't be what it is today. His death impacted the ministry.

  • @thefamousb YEA BUT THE KIDS TOO?

  • @edv177 We all feel that way sometimes, but you really can't question God's motives for anything, because he has a great plan for all of us that will come to fruition very very soon. A plan which is perfect, by the way, however upsetting it might be :(

  • @edv177 Genesis 5:21 "And Enoch lived 65 years, and begat Methuselah: and Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah 300 years, and begat sons and daughters: and all the days of Enoch were 365 years, and Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him."

    (King James Bible)

  • I haven't heard this song since I was child. I just stumbled on this by accident today and the memory of what I felt when I heard this for the first time when I was around 7yrs old instantly took me back to what I recognized to be truth even as a child. Thank you for posting this.

  • I don't think Keith Green ever wrote one song that wasn't powerful and used of God.

God bless you Keith, we'll always love your music, we'll see you in heaven!!!

  • This song makes me cry every time I hear it.

  • The day he died I cried like a baby. Such a beautiful singer and person.

  • hey Keith, nice rack brother, hairdo still rockzzz! My favo muzo of ALL time....had the heart of a Knight for Christ! The Lord stirrrs my soul again & again to a fuller walk with Jesus! A Cry in the wilderness,YEAH!

  • wow it is like waking up from the longest dream now that i think of it...
