i just found big red flag for a puppy mill here in quebec, same cute pictures and like 50 of the same breed being sold all at once from the same place.. what do i do if i want to report it? its too far away for me to investigate for myself..
@tamithomas You can still report it to the local law enforcement. If they do not wish to investigate, alert the local rescue groups. The SPCA is the one that I'd recommend contacting...that is, if there IS an SPCA nearby. I know that QP is a bit different from the rest of Canada, but still - humane groups are pretty good about doing investigations, even in rural areas. Best wishes on your efforts!

My baby had puppies and I gave the puppies away to people that I know will love them as much as I love my babies. I see them all the time, I know they are happy. After she had the puppies I got her fixed, I didn't want her to get sick, I only wanted her to have puppies.

my adopted shihtzu ever became a stray dog. When I adopted that poor dog, his right back leg was very weak , he was blind, and on depression... but now.. he is a cute and healthy dog.. but i can't rescue his eyes (it's too late)..
I remember one of my shihtzu..i gave him a new name that is "Goofy" I adopted Goofy from someone that just can bought the shih tzu and then make the dog become the stray dog. The condition when i adopted goofy,his right back leg was very weak,he can't see (blind), very thin, and the doctor said that goofy was depression.. but now, eventhough Goofy can't see clearly :( but his leg become strong n Goofy become a strong shih tzu ^.^
I cried when i saw this. These little dogs are so sweet I have one of my own. How could anyone treat those sweet little faces so horrible. I have one word for them...CARMA. I hope these little guys have long happy lives now that the nightmare is over. I try to do as much as I can to make sure this isn't going on in my community. It really is heart-breaking that some people can do these to animals for money. I have a tzu myself and before we got him we researched for the longest time on where we can get a pet from a reputable breeder. Pet shops for us are a no-no!

Who ever did this to these dogs needs to be put in a small cage and made to lay in their own crap and pee. have them eat their food off of the dirty floor for at least 10-15 years.
I thought about breeding one of my Shih Tzu, but after seeing how many dogs need to be rescued from shelters, I decided it would be unfair to all those homeless dogs. But I also wanted to say that I adopted my youngest Shih Tzu from an online breeder, and she has been a very excellent dog. She is a true joy, very intelligent, and full of spunk, and I could not be more pleased with her. I will more than likely adopt online from her again.

DON'T BUY DOGS ONLINE OR PET SHOPS! Unless you can go to the home of the breeder and see where the dogs are kept, don't support these cruel people! Better yet, adopt one of the rescued dogs. My Shih Tzu is a beautiful pure breed that was a rescue. Her story brings people to tears. Now she is our little princess and gets so much love. Best dog in the world. So full of love.

You don't do this to animals. If you do you are defective and need to be beaten. My little Shih Tzu, Tisha, was 12 when she passed away. In my lap, at home, being held by someone who loved her dearly. I don't mean to sound like Billy Bad Ass but I am not sure if I could restrain myself if I saw a person or person that did something so heinous.

Did the video mention what happened tp the "breeder"? I don't remember seeing it, but I was so mad, I may have missed it. There should be some type of government regulating in regards to breeders
There are some regulations at least in some states but they aren't tough enough. For example here in Florida all breeders are required to be licenced by the state, a process which requires the facility to be inspected at times. Also all puppies are required to have health certs. The problem really is the number of "under the table" breeders and breeders who have been "grandfathered" into certain communities before the regulations changed and are thus allowed remain as they are.
If buying a puppy from a breeder, always ask to see the parents first. I would be willing to bet this breeder avoided people seeing behind the scenes.

This is what happened to my shih tzu, Mushu, he was neglected and came into the humane society pee covered, matted, and starving. We got him immediately and eh is living a much better life now.

Im British and recently lost my little girl Shih Tzu.She was a rescue.When found she had been kept in a crate for 8yrs,starved,not groomed,her teeth had fallen out due to malnutrition,anaemic and suffering from Atopic skin.The dog 'stacked'underneath her in its crate had been dead for several months.

I don't know. It would be hard to regulate and enforce what I said to do. But in a perfect world, what I said to do, would be helpful in stopping euthanization due to the fact that there are too many unwanted dogs whose perfectly good lives are wasted after being neglected and abused. But how do people go about getting pets if they should not buy them online, or at pet shops? You can't trust papers either, I've had people in Brazil try to scam me into sending them money.
You don't have to go through a pet shop or the internet. The vid was made by a rescue group who adopts these little dogs out. That's one way to get your pet, especially if you have a love for helping animals. They know that you saved them and are especially thankful to you for it. I got my lhasa/poodle from a local shelter, and she's the best dog I've ever owned. If you must have a pure-bred puppy, go to a breeder with a good reputation. Ask to see all of their dogs.

It really is heart-breaking that some people can do these to animals for money. I have a tzu myself and before we got him we researched for the longest time on where we can get a pet from a reputable breeder. Pet shops for us are a no-no!

Who ever did this to these dogs needs to be put in a small cage and made to lay in their own crap and pee. have them eat their food off of the dirty floor for at least 10-15 years.

I thought about breeding one of my Shih Tzu, but after seeing how many dogs need to be rescued from shelters, I decided it would be unfair to all those homeless dogs. But I also wanted to say that I adopted my youngest Shih Tzu from an online breeder, and she has been a very excellent dog. She is a true joy, very intelligent, and full of spunk, and I could not be more pleased with her. I will more than likely adopt online from her again.

thank you for your video. my sister rescued a shih tzu in a similar state who had been covered in flea nests and matted hair and had even had a doggy sister who died from neglect. i won't let her watch this video- she will get too upset, but i will say sincere thanks to those who saved those innocent victims of greed. what makes me think however is how many other people are neglecting dogs? how can we re-educate people to understand that animals are NOT TOYS? good luck and thanks again

DON'T BUY DOGS ONLINE OR PET SHOPS! Unless you can go to the home of the breeder and see where the dogs are kept, don't support these cruel people! Better yet, adopt one of the rescued dogs. My Shih Tzu is a beautiful pure breed that was a rescue. Her story brings people to tears. Now she is our little princess and gets so much love. Best dog in the world. So full of love.

i have a puppy and we brought her from a breader and we hadd to find out the hard way that she never gave her puppy shots!!! she only gave her one set(not really) the day before we got her and she was well over 10wks!!!, i love her so much now but we have to pay soo much money to get her to be 100% and now it sounds like she may have "parvo", i dont know what to do...but i know she will be ok

You don't do this to animals. If you do you are defective and need to be beaten. My little Shih Tzu, Tisha, was 12 when she passed away. In my lap, at home, being held by someone who loved her dearly. I don't mean to sound like Billy Bad Ass but I am not sure if I could restrain myself if I saw a person or person that did something so heinous.
Some one would be walking with a permanent limp.

What a great video! I have a Shih-Tzu and he is my baby! These are such sweet and wonderful little dogs and my heart breaks to see that so many have suffered like this.These people cannot be human to do an innocent animal this way. I just wish all the animals in the world could be saved that are neglected and abused. My Gizmo means the world to me and I will never let anyone mistreat him. He is my baby and I love him dearly.

Did the video mention what happened tp the "breeder"? I don't remember seeing it, but I was so mad, I may have missed it. There should be some type of government regulating in regards to breeders

There are some regulations at least in some states but they aren't tough enough. For example here in Florida all breeders are required to be licenced by the state, a process which requires the facility to be inspected at times. Also all puppies are required to have health certs. The problem really is the number of "under the table" breeders and breeders who have been "grandfathered" into certain communities before the regulations changed and are thus allowed remain as they are.

If buying a puppy from a breeder, always ask to see the parents first. I would be willing to bet this breeder avoided people seeing behind the scenes.

This is what happened to my shih tzu, Mushu, he was neglected and came into the humane society pee covered, matted, and starving. We got him immediately and eh is living a much better life now.

Im British and recently lost my little girl Shih Tzu.She was a rescue.When found she had been kept in a crate for 8yrs,starved,not groomed,her teeth had fallen out due to malnutrition,anaemic and suffering from Atopic skin.The dog 'stacked'underneath her in its crate had been dead for several months.
I had the honour of owning her for just 8yrs.She was determined that although she had 8yrs of torture,she was gonna have 8yrs of love.Please,adopt a Shih tzu!

I don't know. It would be hard to regulate and enforce what I said to do. But in a perfect world, what I said to do, would be helpful in stopping euthanization due to the fact that there are too many unwanted dogs whose perfectly good lives are wasted after being neglected and abused. But you're probably right. It's just so sad.

If you watch some of my videos you'll see that I'm a huge animal lover. Even if it's little critters like geckos. About your video. It's heart breaking. But how do people go about getting pets if they should not buy them online, or at pet shops? You can't trust papers either, I've had people in Brazil try to scam me into sending them money.

You don't have to go through a pet shop or the internet. The vid was made by a rescue group who adopts these little dogs out. That's one way to get your pet, especially if you have a love for helping animals. They know that you saved them and are especially thankful to you for it. I got my lhasa/poodle from a local shelter, and she's the best dog I've ever owned. If you must have a pure-bred puppy, go to a breeder with a good reputation. Ask to see all of their dogs.
