  • Wow! your video touched my heart. Made me cry actually. I can tell you have such a beautiful gift and God is obviously using you for His grace and love. I also loved the little kid showing up at the end, so sweet. All my best to you and God bless brother. Ed

  • Amazing voice.....reminds me of when I first heard Eva Cassidy or Teddy Hawkins. Goosebumps, thanks.

  • Thanks, barrett.

  • I will check her out. Thanks.

Oh, and I'm between North America and Cambodia/Thailand/Vietnam/Burma on a somewhat regular basis. I'm on the board of a non-profit with orphanages and a few other projects in SE Asia.

  • this was actually right before bedtime. tired, tired, tired.

Yeah, my kids are great. they do like to sing, but they don't usually do it on cue...

  • ah, the contrariness of youth! :)...just curious here, J, but are you posting from N. America or Cambodia, or hopscotching between the two?

P.S. if you ever get the time or the inclination, check out this fellow YouTube musical treasure: ''thebrooke''...different style from yours but she covers a similarly disparate array of songs- thru-out-the-ages & is equally easy on the ears. later, man.

  • thanx for sharing this one, John. uplifting & mournful at the same time. you looked a bit wiped-out in this one (an early mornin' wake up song?)nice change of scenery too. your son's cameo brought some additional light to this soulful lament (do your children like to sing too?) their presence always add a special (at times chaotic) element to your vids.

    Acapella On, John.
