  • OTTAWA (AFP) A row about plagiarism embroiled Prime Minister Stephen Harper on Tuesday after his former speechwriter admitted to copying a speech in support of the US-led Iraq war by Australia's former leader John Howard.

  • Well, speech writers are allowed to have limitations on the copyrights they issue. Obviously it's more lucrative to publish the speech twice in different countries, just like songwriters and authors do to their respective publishers.

Only, song and book publishers don't get to bomb anyone or take over another country's national resources. It's tough being a publisher.

  • Sorry Mrs Dickles worth I will try to do better.

  • You dirty rotten Liberal,.... Why do you do this kind of smut? Do you not Know that we can see threw this bull crap from five years ago? Steven Harper Would never act in this negative manner. Thats why we can trust him.

  • Ah, I love it when retorts have bad grammar and spelling.

You love war, don't you ;)

  • Are you being Ironic, SillyBulloProject?

  • Wake up Moron. This has NOTHING to do with Liberal, PC or

NDP. Your pissed off because of the Liberal logo at the

beginning. I don't like the Liberals either but this actually

    happened.

  • The only time Canadian politics are exciting is when we copy the Australians? Weird.

  • Somehow funny and somehow shocking, but certainly 5 years too late.

  • wyldhowl... exactly. when you are advocating that your country engage in an illegal war against a nation that never did anything to you, i think you better write your own speech. How much other crap has this guy fed us?

  • Did you hear the last :" hear, hear!" in the video? The blind leading the blind, what an ultimate disgrace.

    ..lets have another: hear, hear!

  • It's obvious this came from the same source in Washington and Owen Lippert will fall on his sword for his leader.

  • "not bad, let's have another"

willing to step up and show what a putz this

evil manatee is? his fear campaign says the

liberals with be all 'tax and spend' but the

liberals brought the country out of the tax

and spend policies of mulroney. let's have

another, even if that means we have to elect

    mighty mouse dion.

  • I'll vote for whoever pledges to bring back the Montreal Expos.

Actually... I'd never vote for Stephen.

  • Couldn't have said it better myself. The Conservative bobble-heads are insisting this is a non-issue, but I think it's one of the most important issues in this election.

  • buhgoil

Pardon the pun but you're dead on, there.

Why should Canadians pay billions for this lie?

  • Reading from the same script, given to them both from the same foreign master.
