To understand Heb. 7: First do the homework on two terms . 1 “The Law”= ordinance. 2 “commandment”= charge.. Go to Nun 18:8 which is the parallel scripture the writer of Heb, is using! “The Law” is a particular law! Bad translation of “ordinance!“ No? Go read it! Now read Hebrews 7: slowly, each time you see “the law” that phrase is “The ordinance of tithing” The correct way to observe our Lord!
Just read last night 2 Corinthians 12 where Paul says, "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."
Paul had a 'thorn' in his flesh and asked God to remove it 3 times, but the Lord didn't saying his grace is all Paul needed.
When we are weak and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ, His helps us. This is why Paul says he glories in infirmities etc: 'when I am weak, then am I strong'.
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:13
And Jesus says in John 15, "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."
We are not to worry nor walk in fear but rather, live by faith in the Son of God.
