  • so stoned

  • guan xi zai pu sa ( guan yin ) google it :)

  • I want to visit that buddha when I go back to Hong Kong. It was not built when I left Hong Kong.

  • Went there two months ago. It was awesome! Wish I was back there!

  • I am going in a few months for two weeks how far would you say it is from Hong Kong?

  • Two hours. Its on the island next to the airport. It takes 1:45 to two hours to get to the Buddha from HK island. Expect to spend at least 6 hours for the trip. You can take the MTR to Tung Chung (Exit B - search -walkme2 buddha - for a video), then the bus or Cable car to the buddha, or take the ferry to Mui Wo, then the #2 bus (I think) to Po Lin Monastery.

  • I took a bus there as part of the trip and sat in the top, harrowing, but fun.

  • Its really fun when the bus backs up, on a curve, going uphill, along a ledge, to let a construction vehicke pass. They are building a new road to make that trip easier.

  • Wonderful video of a very impressive statue. I would love to stand in front of him. And how fantastic to be able to see that out your window every day.

  • Went there last month, it was too cloudy to see it.

  • Yes, that happens. When we have guests visiting, I look outside every morning hopeing to find a Buddhafull day to take them there.

  • i went there inside is a list of dead people

  • The music is beautiful!

    La musica e' bellissima!

  • no I mean has she ever appeared to you in another form? like the ying and yang mist?

  • I lived on Lantau island for years and years when i was a kid. I wnt to grew up there, school there, and i walked to the monasteray every saturday. Although now im a christian i was brought up by the principles of buddhism

  • Good for you! That is what I've been telling my wife and Catholic friends. They can take teachings from Buddhism to reinforce their own faith without converting to buddhism. Since in my opinion buddhism is not a religion but rather as the "Science of the Mind" it will never have any conflict with any known religions.

  • totally agree. i mean our vicar in Lantau, Rob even reinforced his sermons with buddhist beleifs.

  • The Buddhists are fantastic. You never hear of a Buddhist extremist. I was researching different religions recently and found I follow a lot of their beliefs already. I thought, 'Hey, I might be Buddhist and not even know it'.

  • I have visited the place more than 6 times. And everytime I get to visit Hong Kong. I always make sure Po Lin Monastery, Lantau is on my itenerary. I love the place.

  • We take all our visitors there. I don't know how many times I have been there. I really like the bus ride over the mountain. It gives the trip more character than taking the Ngong Ping 360

  • I agree with you. The bus drivers are really good and disciplined. Last time I went there the fog was really bad, you couldn't see 5-10 meters infront of you.

  • Isn't it amazing that a place with seat belts, has great drivers, but cross the boarder to Shenzhen, or go to Beijing, where there are no seat belts, and they drive like they are trying to get to hell before dinner. I plan to film that sometime when I am up there.

  • it is amazing at the big budda go every time when im in hong kong its beautiful

  • I like the spring rolls there.

  • has anyone ever seen kuan yin?

  • I don't think anyone that is alive today have seen Kuan Yin or also known as Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva in the flesh. However if you mean the image of Kuan Yin, I am sure almost all people who learned about Buddhism know who Kuan Yin is and the answer to your question will be, yes.

  • Wow very beautiful, isnt it.

  • very good!!!!!

  • H-SUTRA by Pneuma in CN.

  • Thank you very much for providing the name of the music. I am making a DVD to give to Ex-pats, and I am putting this segment on the end. I am so happy I have the name of the song for the credits.

It's been great having you as a subscriber. We leave Hong Kong in a couple weeks, so I it will be difficult for me to upload any new videos. I'll try to upload something in a few months on our new place. Thanks for being there and watching. People like you make all this work worthwhile.
