Can't see why you'd need to use Director for soemthing like this, but yeah, it's be eminently doable in AE with some 2d warping / displacement mapping (notice how their heads don't move, you wouldn't even need to do any tracking)

Before I present myself I'd like to express how incredibly happy I am about this award. Eric is my name, and I am the chief executive officer of the group The Knife.
