I think thos were all fair assessments, I'm a mustang guy myself but all of those car's could be tuned to tolerate 1,000+ BHP. Hennacy, Lenginfelter, even Shelby all have 1000 hp tune's for these vehicle's hell my budy's 03 Cobra made 1,615bhp with a Hellion Hell Raiser Compound boost set up and that's just a stock DOHC 281ci V8. LS7's have a bad rap for thin engin wall's though, so U'R shelf life with 800+ bhp isn't good for the ZO6. For the money the ZO6 is U'R best bet though, & I'm a mustang

(not really) My own opinion on cars is the classics are the ones you should be competing together. The very start of muscle/sports/exotic engineering. So much more interesting. @corey14cook your a fuckin retard. have you ever heard of gear ratios? rear ends, and different transmissions? slicks? shift points...ect change all that shit for top speed, or drag racing. your probably running a 4.11:1 rear and that mustang has around a 3.50:1 or a 3.73:1
Running a shorter gear can sometimes be a downfall in a stock car, because sometimes you have to make a short shift at the end of the track, ruining your E.T.
Look at the new Mustang 5.0, the Ford engineers spent a TON of time on the gearing, to make the 1/4 times faster than the Camaro's. The LS3 actually dynos at 470hp NOT 430, so the 5.0 is faster because of very careful gearing.
My point is that just running a 4.10:1 for the hell of it, can be a mistake.

any one that know3s a supersnake or a regular gt500 knows tehy dont shine at teh track with stock tires. They need drag radials at the least. WIth tire change GT500s have went 11.1-11.4..
ok the super snake has 725at the crank, and about 600hp and the wheels, im not sure about the zr1 or the z06. but the mustang has hard time with traction so in the 0-60 run i think the zr1 would win, i think the the mustang and the zr1 would be very close, the z06 would be eating both of there dust
@boss302whr And the ZR1 is 700 pounds lighter than the Super Snake, it doesn't all have to do with power. And the ZR1 I do know has about 530-540 HP at the wheels. Not too sure with the Z06, but it would be a close match for sure with all of them. Personally I believe GM designed a better car because it can put more power to the ground through traction while the Mustang has a harder time. Just because you have 700+ horses under the hood doesn't mean you're the fastest. All are beautiful cars btw

Everyone here seems to be missing the point…they are all really cool cars and all very fast but it is a misnomer to compare the Shelby and the Corvette as the Vette is a true sports car while the Mustang is a muscle car. I understand they are comparable in price but the fact still remains they are different types of cars. You should compare the Vette with the Porsches, Aston Martins etc and the Mustang to the Dodge charger and Camaro.

So when you get people whom are Chevy/Dodge/Import fans, they result to bringing sports cars into the argument to even compete. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Ford guy through and through, but I'd never turn down an OLD Challenger/Charger/Malibu. The fact remains, Mustang is unmatched by it's true competitors.

The fact is the Ford motor can make the most hp. But it is too heavy, it out weighs the zr1 by 600lbs and the z06 by almost 750lbs. I have seen dyno results for a ford gt which the gt500 shares motors with cranking 1800hp on stock block and 1500+hp on stock internals. A z06 motor stock internals will handle no more than 1000hp while the zr1 would handle 1200hp. Ford has power but needs to lose love handles.
you do not know anything in which you type. A stock gt block will not hold 1800hp you moron. A ZR1 block is a complete forged engine. A Z06 engine can get about 750rwhp "or around 7psi" before it is a time bomb because of its thin walls and high compression. 1800hp on a stock non-forged engine, you just making things up as you go it seems? @TrenAman1 The GT40 was made in the 60's. The new one is called the Ford GT and it shares the same motor as the super snake mustang. HUGE DIFFERENCE! The GT500 mustangs also are fully forged and prebuilt for boost just like the Ford GT. The GT40 motor from the 60's was not. By the way 7psi is less than stock boost on a ZR1. Ford GT is able with mods for more than 2100hp.

@aarontiernan Fact remains you are totally wrong on the Z06 and ZR1 capabilities. Z06 LS7 has thin cylinder walls and a high compression. THere is no stock block out there pushing anywhere near 1000hp. ZR1 block is a completely forged LS3 with low compression and could handle as much as anything else you will see on the street. Fact reamins no one has pushed it to the limit and certainly not with e a roots SC on it. I only know of 1 build to date that has TT's on it

BTW you cant just "tune" a z06 to 1300HP, anything can have 1300HP if you want to spend the money, either way the shelby or vette would have to be FULLY built with some kind of massive power adder probably twin turbos but a large single would work.

Well first off, let me say I think all of these cars are sweet. I am disappointing in the performance numbers for the Super Snake, assuming this person posted accurate numbers in the vid. According to the numbers in the video, the Z06 is quicker than the Super Snake, am I missing something? Assuming that is true, ford(shelby) really dropped the ball here in my opinion. P.S. I think this is one of the most disappointing video's I have ever watched on youtube. I would rate negetive if I could.

Running a shorter gear can sometimes be a downfall in a stock car, because sometimes you have to make a short shift at the end of the track, ruining your E.T.
Look at the new Mustang 5.0, the Ford engineers spent a TON of time on the gearing, to make the 1/4 times faster than the Camaro's. The LS3 actually dynos at 470hp NOT 430, so the 5.0 is faster because of very careful gearing.
My point is that just running a 4.10:1 for the hell of it, can be a mistake.

any one that know3s a supersnake or a regular gt500 knows tehy dont shine at teh track with stock tires. They need drag radials at the least. WIth tire change GT500s have went 11.1-11.4..

ok the super snake has 725at the crank, and about 600hp and the wheels, im not sure about the zr1 or the z06. but the mustang has hard time with traction so in the 0-60 run i think the zr1 would win, i think the the mustang and the zr1 would be very close, the z06 would be eating both of there dust

@boss302whr And the ZR1 is 700 pounds lighter than the Super Snake, it doesn't all have to do with power. And the ZR1 I do know has about 530-540 HP at the wheels. Not too sure with the Z06, but it would be a close match for sure with all of them. Personally I believe GM designed a better car because it can put more power to the ground through traction while the Mustang has a harder time. Just because you have 700+ horses under the hood doesn't mean you're the fastest. All are beautiful cars btw

Everyone here seems to be missing the point…they are all really cool cars and all very fast but it is a misnomer to compare the Shelby and the Corvette as the Vette is a true sports car while the Mustang is a muscle car. I understand they are comparable in price but the fact still remains they are different types of cars. You should compare the Vette with the Porsches, Aston Martins etc and the Mustang to the Dodge charger and Camaro.

So when you get people whom are Chevy/Dodge/Import fans, they result to bringing sports cars into the argument to even compete. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Ford guy through and through, but I'd never turn down an OLD Challenger/Charger/Malibu. The fact remains, Mustang is unmatched by it's true competitors.

The fact is the Ford motor can make the most hp. But it is too heavy, it out weighs the zr1 by 600lbs and the z06 by almost 750lbs. I have seen dyno results for a ford gt which the gt500 shares motors with cranking 1800hp on stock block and 1500+hp on stock internals. A z06 motor stock internals will handle no more than 1000hp while the zr1 would handle 1200hp. Ford has power but needs to lose love handles.

you do not know anything in which you type. A stock gt block will not hold 1800hp you moron. A ZR1 block is a complete forged engine. A Z06 engine can get about 750rwhp "or around 7psi" before it is a time bomb because of its thin walls and high compression. 1800hp on a stock non-forged engine, you just making things up as you go it seems? @TrenAman1 The GT40 was made in the 60's. The new one is called the Ford GT and it shares the same motor as the super snake mustang. HUGE DIFFERENCE! The GT500 mustangs also are fully forged and prebuilt for boost just like the Ford GT. The GT40 motor from the 60's was not. By the way 7psi is less than stock boost on a ZR1. Ford GT is able with mods for more than 2100hp.

@aarontiernan Fact remains you are totally wrong on the Z06 and ZR1 capabilities. Z06 LS7 has thin cylinder walls and a high compression. THere is no stock block out there pushing anywhere near 1000hp. ZR1 block is a completely forged LS3 with low compression and could handle as much as anything else you will see on the street. Fact reamins no one has pushed it to the limit and certainly not with e a roots SC on it. I only know of 1 build to date that has TT's on it

I owe a 08 shelby gt500 it will keep up with a base corvette. Only thing that kills ford is cubic inches! Ford Raptor has the 6.2L 2-valve per cylinder. Hey ford are you listening how about a DOHC 6.2L!!!! Remember SOHC 427 back in the sixties! Ford knows but it's very slow to release technology while Chevy to quick on it's toe where they don't know what to do next.

Well first off, let me say I think all of these cars are sweet. I am disappointing in the performance numbers for the Super Snake, assuming this person posted accurate numbers in the vid. According to the numbers in the video, the Z06 is quicker than the Super Snake, am I missing something? Assuming that is true, ford(shelby) really dropped the ball here in my opinion. P.S. I think this is one of the most disappointing video's I have ever watched on youtube. I would rate negetive if I could.

I will give the Super Snake props for looks, but its still a fat fuckin pig like all the other Mustangs that weigh 400,000lbs. I would take an 03 Cobra over the Super Snake and the GT500. Those Vettes would still kick the shit out of the Snake.

@jb19941 lol everything you stated is personal preference.When performance is being discussed the ONLY Ford that can keep up with vettes is the Ford GT which i hella expensive. What kind of stang do you have?
