  • @XxNightAsylumxX We don't know if he ever moved on and had them. There's also adoption.

  • @XxNightAsylumxX Likely from random hookers.

  • If they ever make a sequel, I'd like to see Shiloh take up her father's scalpel and seek revenge on the Rotti siblings.

  • @smnoy23 I think they definitely left it open for a sequel, would be pretty cool to have another Repo!

  • @MultiColoredBlizzard I know right

  • the vocals sound like the guitar solo from Detroit Rock City by KISS

  • I love the ignorant people who can't get past the "oooh gothic clothing!" and "ew, rock opera!", and complete miss out on a story that is well written, and has brilliant lyrics. Their loss for shoving a stick up their ass.

  • this song just gives me chills, its just incredible, it really shows that this movie isnt just a horror, or even a comedy at times, its got an amazing story behind it

  • Is it bad that I'm inspired by this song?

  • I am singing this tonight

  • This song is brilliant, her voice is brilliant in this one more than all the rest. I love it. :)

  • I cried at the ending because if my dad was dying I would so cry my eyes out!so yea I did cry at the ending of Repo! The Genetic Opera!poor Shilo, she's going to be alone now!aww :(

  • @leelee1102 I feel the same way. I'd kill myself if my father died. He's my world and life. :P

  • some people may think this is a horror but its just a very bloody drama and at the end i cried sooooooo hard this movie was great

  • This song reminds me of 'I'm Going Home' from Rocky Horror Picture Show and I have no idea why!

  • poor shilo :( all alone now. need moar repo...need a repo 2 o-o

  • I LOVE THIS JAM

  • Whooo cried at the end???

    I did! :D

  • love it , love the song and i love this movie so much

  • Luv it!!!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing that it's the girl from the Spy Kids movies

  • Reminds me of the "River Lullaby" from Prince of Egypt...

  • best song from the movie!

  • @TheAnimeExpert156 I thought it was Epilogue.

  • Bittersweet.

  • Amazing. <33

  • ... I'm sorry, but the guitar sounds a lot like "Extraordinary Girl" by Green Day, does it not?

"But the truth is my legacy is not up to my genes"- Best. Line. Ever.

  • @konekoMizu it kinda does but lso very different because its a keyboard

  • @konekoMizu it kinda does but lso very different because its a keyboard

  • @ninskinnypuppy we heard you the first time

  • @konekoMizu that sounds nothing like the friggin song............go look it up.......

  • @konekoMizu

Sounds like a song from Prince of Egypt to me...

  • @konekoMizu

    "River Lullaby" Prince of Egypt

  • @konekoMizu i didnt not mean to 'vote down' this comment :L but i agree, it does sound slightly like it ;D

  • 2 people missed the 'Like' button

  • @CelesteStorywriter Why would you insult her like that?

  • @Magical725 Because she fucking does. I like the character, but the singing... not so much.

  • @CelesteStorywriter I have to disagree - Miley Cyrus doesn't sing, she...shout-whines. Even with auto-tune. Alexa Vega isn't Broadway caliber, and I think they were going for more "be like a little girl!" in the early songs than I'd like, but I think she does have a nice voice and suits the role.

  • @fizzysassafrass actually, shes vocally trained to do musicals. they chose her because she was in hairspay on brodway.

  • @PhraseToCutMyLips Oops, thanks for letting me know!

  • @CelesteStorywriter

I don't know...Miley Cyrus sounds like a cross between a hick and a Dixie Chick wanna-be when she sings. Alexa Vega has a more smoother style.

  • i wonder what happen to shilo after the opera :o

  • "But the truth is my legacy is not up to my genes!" I think we all feel relief when hearing that.

  • This was the best ending to any movie i've ever seen. It almost made me cry

  • <3 <3 <3

  • i love this song. very powerful. now my interpretation of it was that everyone who ever loved her was lying dead on the stage. and she was realizing that it was time for her to grow up and leave everything and everyone behind and start a new life. thats how i see it......

  • I love this song..shilo's so strong to keep going after her dad died..it's so sad..great movie

  • Shiloh has to really depressed in this scene. Her father just died, she found out her entire life's been an entire lie, Mag was murdered, and

she lost the chance to own Geneco.

  • This song, and for that matter, this movie, got me through my ex since he was emotionally abusing me, and even though I didn't feel anything in this song (even though I really liked it) when I first saw Repo! in Jan, every time I hear this song now after being free from my ex, I feel so strong and powerful-and probably how Shilo felt.

  • Free from the illness she never had.

  • this movie is the frekin bomb best movie eva

  • i've watched this movie about 12 times since i bought the dvd. lol. it is THE BEST MOVIE EVER MADE!!!

  • i love how shilo is like "im so sad my father died but at the same time im happy cuz im free from him"

  • This song isn't about her being free from her father. It's about her being free from her illness. It's about her being strong, not being held back by her heredity. "...The truth is my legacy is not up to my genes."

  • @rushfan729

But wasn't her father the cause of her illness? He was poisoning her to keep her sick so she wouldn't leave him.

So effectively being free of her illness meant the same as being free of her father.

  • he was doing it to protect her. cause from the movies point of view, i would NOT want my children living in that world

  • That is such bullshit.

He couldn't let go of Marni so he kept his daughter prisoner because he was afraid that she would leave him too.

When in truth, if her father had been honest with her and not kept her locked up, she wouldn't have gone to the Opera with Rotti and Nathan wouldn't have died on the stage and he may have even been able to protect Mag.

And from what I can see from this film, the only danger was the Repo man, and he was her father.

  • I think this relly shows that alexis vega is multi talented. She has a very nice voice and surprised me when i watched this movie.

  • this movie was sooo original and beautiful in a unique way! but did anyone else think that shilo got over her father and mag's deaths pretty fast?

  • @laurlaurbby

well im not sure about mag but she did say she had loved nd hated her father so im guessin da side dat hated him didnt really care nd da side dat did idk maybe not if any of this makes any sense

  • @laurlaurbby I think Shilo will grieve later in time. At the Opera, Shilo is bombarded with new truths and confessions and then loses her father, who had been the only figure in her life that symbolised love and care, even if the figure she saw was shadowed by a murderous alter-ego. Knowing the truth about her father, and seeing how twisted the world is and how heartless one becomes through running GeneCo (Rotti), Shilo is obviously overwhelmed, but she does realise that she must grow up now.

  • It finally came in the mail today, via netflix...I'm saving it for tomorow night, but I really look forward to seeing it! :)

  • aaaah mines coming in a week from netflix!

    was it good?

  • I thought it was, but I think it's a matter of opinion/taste. Personally though I thought it kicked ass: the story was original, and the music was awsome :)

  • i love this movie!!!!

  • this song mean's alot to me cause i had to let the girl i love go, to be free at lst

  • @pferguson92 wow... I hope you didn't have to let her go because she is related to you...

  • no haha, nothing like that, but she was a part of me...like cuting off a leg or somthing. i now am starting a night school on monday witch she is atending. . . . oh joy?

  • I never pictured myself as an opera loving kind of person, but this one blew me out of the water. I loved it!!!!!

  • Amazing actress and an amazing singer, hope Alexa decides to do more musicals in the future. Also an awesome song to close an awesome film

  • She's on broadway. she does musicals all the time.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!

  • i LOVE that friggin movie!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The last two songs, "I didnt know I'd love you so much" and this song really make the ending heartfelt and amazing. Such a great movie!!!

  • @slowhand: agreed. Made me cry, it was so amazing. <3

  • @slowhandbc I get teary eyed when I hear that song. It's so touching
