  • what's everyone's problem with the eye stretches. sure, it might not do anything but it's purpose is to have your eyes adjust to distant things in a quick manner.

  • I have a strained neck from a few years of powerlifting with no stretching, so I have to stretch my neck muscles especially now, and this is the only thing that has helped.

    You guys must have really weak necks if you get injured doing exercises intended to prevent injury...

  • You might want to avoid the backward neck stretch. It doesn't stretch the sternocleidomastoids, muscles in front of the neck. Also repetitive hyperextension of the neck can erode the cervical vertebrae and discs expecially when combined w/ rotation. Turning the alone will stretch the front of the neck.

  • What the hell? The only thing the last exercise will do is fuck your neck up; here's what you should do if you want to stretch your neck out..

    If you want to really stretch your neck you have to put a bit of tension on it, just like with any stretch; so instead of just letting the weight of your head stretch your neck, which it won't if that's all your doing, put tension on it so you feel your neck being pulled.

  • @themyspacethug Guess that depends on how tight your neck is...I get PLENTY stretch without putting any tension on it. And I appreciated her saying that you have to be careful when putting pressure on those muscles...I really MAY HAVE been creating more problems than I was solving in the past.

  • the focus should be more on lifting the chin rather than trowing the head way back. for safety reasons a small space should be kept between the head & upper back.

  • I have a cervical disc bulge at C6-C7, Can I also do these stretches esp. the sudden right and left jerk motions.
