Rina is an anime fan, but since I've known a few "weaboo" otaku-crazed candidates in my time, I can safely say that she doesn't really qualify.

Example:

She was once at a con I went to about a year or so ago, and there was a Brawl and SF4 tournament. She tried to practically convince the TO to seed her in favorable spots (against all the scrubs as opposed to random selections) just because she made Brawl Taunts and shit. Luckily the guy was smart and said no, but that's pretty sad.

After she had lost to someone in the first round, she basically pulled a "Oh you have no life and I'm so cool" act to "save face".

Oh, I dunno. She has a terrible personality, an ego the size of a galaxy, an atrocious attitude, double standards up the ass, and in the end, isn't even half-decent in her voice acting considering her voice range is non-existent. (It's all exactly the same voice)

It's different when you've actually met this chick in person, and you see all of what I'm talking about.

I dunno. The voices are pretty good besides your teenage girl voices... They ARE a little too similar. In some voices rather than others the acting is much better... I guess maybe that's because you're more comfortable with some than others? Up to the little boy's voice, I didn't buy the acting. After that it's good... then it gets to the deep-voiced chick and it gets awkward again. The "help me" was terrible, too. Otherwise, you've got talent... just need to hone the acting for some voices.

Especially if you think a good VA is defined by their ability to change their voice. Misspelling two voice actors' names, then listing one who retired years ago doesn't help your case.

Being the extremely sub-par singer that you are, you're also hardly in a position to throw so many stones at someone who's had actual success in their field.

It doesn't take any sort of talent to get "successful" in the acting industry. Look at Adam Sandler. Especially in voice acting. Look at 80% of dubbed anime-style video games.

All it takes is knowing the right people, and having a good grasp in the art of "Whoring Out No Matter What". :3

@SaitoKojima The same Adam Sandler who has even his harshest critics praising his role in Punch-Drunk Love. Being frequently miscast or poorly directed does not make an actor untalented. Dubbing in particular is very hard. Low budget time restraints, weak scripts and poor directors can easily make capable actors look terrible.

Self-marketing IS indeed crucial, but can only get one so far. People will pay to see a popular film star. Not so with VAs. Can't deliver what the director asks = gone.

The bottom line for a vocal talent is the ability to deliver what a producer/director asks of them, and quickly adapt to changes in direction. A recording session can be very high-pressure, and harder than many think.

I -don't- think this demo is her best showing, but if she didn't have the necessary skill for this field, she wouldn't have voiced Barbie for Mattel.
