  • Nope, American is also a language, and there is a difference between english and american. Not only in how they pronounce it, but also in meaning, 'dumbass'

    Actually American is a generic [dialect] of the English language, just as Australian, Texan, New Jersey, and even Cockney are dialects. Dialects are phonetic changes within one mother language. Accents (like this Japanese video) are prevalent when the speaker's original language (Japanese) directly impacts their secondary language (English, in this case). If you study IPA you can learn how to do all this stuff.
