My guess would be about a 25 to 30 mph head wind. The Porter stalls around 52 knots and it doesn't look like he's is going that fast. Either way, nice landing.
it is like the props thrust the air to the front not backward....if i'm not mistaken...!!!it's amazing!!! does the propeller can tilt to make air thrusted in both direction?
Well there is no such thing as "reverse engines" but throwing reverse pitch 10 seconds before you hit the ground is a death wish. Come to PNG in a Twin Otter and find out for yourself. I dunno about a Skyvan but anything with a PT6 won't do it unless your withing approach parameters and under minimum approach speed for your weight.
Ditto.. this guy is thinking the wrong way.. the plane isn't traveling at that speed because it "can't" go any slower, it's traveling at that speed because anything less won't provide enough lift to keep it in the air. He has no need to go any slower than his approach speed till the wheels touch the ground. Throwing reverse pitch in the air will put you well below stall speed and the aircraft will fall out of the sky. Instantly.
Has reverse thrust that's why is can stop so fast.

"Mom, can I have it? Pleeeeease??? I'll keep it in the back yard." LOL You could land that thing in a tennis stadium!

Ok, I was expecting short here, but daaaaaamn! Points off though for trying to fool the odometer at the end. ;)

Put the props on beta range so it'll act as an airbrake...pretty cool stuff

I'm a tow pilot and I usually land our AB-180 in 50ft (no reverse available)....

holy jesus crap ! Photoshop much, ( lol) but seriously, I'm guessing you need a lot of wind pushing against you in order to land so short?

yeah it's called reverse thrust, the prop over rotates to create rearward thrust. it's really cool.

Im a skyvan pilot a skydiving adventures in New Jerey you nub. Its not just flight sim. You got to hit the reversers before you even hit the ground.
