  • I prefer the studio version :$

  • 2 people are just pissed at corgan

  • 3:30 amazing voice billy forever 90's FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • I hate 2011. Bring back the 90s!

  • Really annoys me how in that last chorus, which has arguably Billy Corgan's BEST vocal performance of all time, the camera is zoomed up on D'arcy the entire time. Something about that just irks me.

  • where is Jimmy? :-(

  • i wish they recorded an electric version like this

  • @yupcat you wish he was inside of you ;)

  • does anybody notice Billy shooting death ray looks to the guy shaking the damn sleigh bells too hard....he is PISSED! look for it...death eyes

  • does the camera man have a crush on d'arcy or something?

  • @ri394 do you blame him?

  • One of the best albums of all time...

  • corgan just kills that guitar solo, and when he hits that note for the chorus its like heaven!

  • Awesome concert this is, still got it on vcr tape!

  • Is this the Botanique Gardens in Belfast?

  • It is the one in Brussels, Belgium.

  • Guitar bit from 5:40 simply amazing.

  • right..billy is the poet of my youth and he will always be inside of me..Love you!!

  • i love you billy

  • twilight fades through blistered avalon. the skys cruel torch on aching autobahn. into the uncertain devine. we scream into the last devine you make me real you make me real

  • Jesus, they were so fuckin' amazing

  • you make me real

  • james and billy were so awesome together. the solo in this performance is so beautiful

  • Which guitar is this? I cant find anything on this one in the gear pages. Not the usual Fender obviously.

  • it's the fender jaguar.

  • I can't believe someone can say that. That's NOT even a Fender. Billy used at the time Fernandes Decade V-1.

  • True, but it's an original fender design. It's more of ajazzmaster then a jaguar by the way, not a jaguar. It's heavely modified though... The pick- up's are not original.

  • @fishbowlfire I know it's been a year, but just for the record, he is not playing a Fender Jaguar as someone else claimed. He is absolutely killing it with a Fernandes Decade V-1.

  • 3:30 is best

  • but the drummer was so out of step with this band and the organic sound that this record had. pretty shallow commentary to be sure but that's how i felt at the time and i guess all these years later it hasn't diminished.

  • I was referring to the SONG dummy :P Billy will never write songs like these again and that's what shallow.

  • I wasn't calling you shallow. I was calling my own comments shallow... because I'm ragging on an obviously talented drummer just because he doesn't match their image. Sorry if you thought it was an attack your comments.

  • Oh that's nice to know, than I may take back the "dummy" ;) Cool you took the time to make it clear :)

  • I can disagree, if u take a notice how adore live stuff was layered with additional 5 members except core 3 pumpkins it all made sense especially looking at the record, which is unbelievably build up in every direction musically and instrumentally .

  • Again, I am not criticizing the drummer's technical ability. I just don't think his atmosphere fits with that of the original core members. To me he's just a hired gun and doesn't contribute much beyond proficient drum playing.

With that said... I think Adore is one of the most beautiful things to come out of any of the big names of that era. Maybe the best thing Billy will do.

  • They were so good together... It's amazing how this song can take you back there in a flash..

  • BEST SONG EVER

  • i have'nt seen such control over the guitar while singin...other than thom yorke..

  • this is a very nice song

  • love this 'slower' version.

  • this song always makes me cry !

  • Such a beautiful song, gets me every time. I think this may be my favourite of theirs, it's up there with Mayonaise and Porcelina for me. Thanks SP!

  • WOW. That was perfect!

  • I often wonder what sort of reception the Adore album would've gotten had it been recorded live, or electrically whichever way you wanna put it. Any discernible Pumpkins fan and the critics rate Adore very highly, if not above their prior work and it's a shame it didn't sell like Siamese Dream & Mellon Collie

  • amazing album... just be thankful that you can appreciate what the average joe is unable to.....

  • @troymichaeldunne agreed!!

  • Brilliant.

  • from when is this concert ?

  • around 1998

  • The perfect version of this beautifal song.

    Billy you are the best

  • corgan is the poet of my youth and has my everlasting respect.

  • Great song..!

  • my song lol

  • this is the B. Corgan that I miss so much it hurts.:-(

  • yeah me too

  • perfect version

  • My life's mission is now to find a girl named sheila, marry her and have this played at the wedding :) DAMN YOU CORGAN, you bald and delicious God of RAWK!!!

  • You made me laugh for hours...ha ha ha

  • SWEET!!!

  • love this version.

  • god damn they are good

  • they looked so grown up these days... their music, their sound... everything was perfect

... (too bad) nobody noticed, including myself (because i was too young ;)

  • fav pumpkins song, dnt like this live version thou it takes away from the elements i liked in the song (still amazing thou)

  • It meant the world to hold a bruising faith, but now it's just a matter of grace. Flowers yo!

  • j'ai un peu décroché aprés cet album mais c'est celui que j'écoute avec le plus de plaisir!en clair I LOVE IT

  • adore is their best.

  • amazing!!!!i love the adore album.

  • but i must say way too much cymbal crashes in the climax there drummer guy.

  • yes indeed, Joey Waronker is his name I think. I always think he's overplaying, He seems to play more like a percussionist than a drummer. Shame that when jimmy came back the rest left!

  • Thats Kenny Aronof on drums sir.

  • You can NEVER hit the cymbals too much during the climax of an epic ballad.

  • thanks :)

  • wow

    amazing live performance

  • Adore was an AMAZING album, songs like Daphne descends that were very upbeat, Crestfallen and Tear, showed billy corgan could write great poetry. They found their own sound on Mellon Collie, but really refined it on adore. I love this album! listen to it again!

  • i could bring you the light

  • adore is a good album. some people just cant relate to it. critics underrate it. but all in all adore is a great pumpkin album.

  • YOU MAKE ME REAL!!!!

  • This song was the only reason why I kept the "Adore" CD

  • cmon adore wasn't that great, but not that bad

  • what about For Martha or Annie Dog? Just because it wasn't Siamese Dream or Mellon Collie people automatically write it off, but they shouldn't. It is a highly underrated album that I happen to enjoy.

  • i hated that drummer when i saw him back in the day playing with them on jools holland but he does a great job on this song.

    beautiful song, fantastic performance.

  • so beautiful...=O

  • OMG! so amazing! frightening, goosebumping... it's a beautiful song

  • YOU IDIOT!!! thats kenny arnoff. you should be clubbed. I mean honestly. since when does music have ANYTHING to do with how the drummer looks? I mean honestly. man your sooo stupid.

  • the guy on drums sticks out like a sore thumb...in a very bad way...apart from that an amazing performance

  • bono got a haircut

  • magnifique.

  • thanks.. merci :)

  • c'est beauuuuuuuuuuuuuu <3

  • Breathtaking...

  • Kenny looks gay...

  • Billy Corgan is better than Mozart

  • Amazing song! Amazing band!

  • damn nice

  • what a show, huh?

  • my jaw dropped

  • how beautiful
