Part of a poem from my school days, very apppropriate for Mr Ireland who deserted his Country in it's hour of need. Lives there a man with soul so dead Who never to himself has said This is my own my native land Whose heart has ne'r within him burned As home his footstephs he has turned From wandering on a foreign land Despite his titles power and wealth The wretch concentred all in self Doubly dying shall go down To the vile dust from which he sprung Unwept unhonoured and unsung.
