  • Halloween, Samhain, Pagan new year, Day of the dead. A day of rememberance and worship of your dead ancestors without who'm you would not be here.

I dont see how that could be evil, but Christianity made it that way so more sheep would flock to the "good" shepherd.

Anything that didnt come from Christianity is evil - Thats how you brainwash bronze age man.

  • trick or treating is another way of worshiping the devil, just think about it....walking around with costumes that come from the devils level of evilness?

think to yourself,is halloween fun or does it have something behind it?

  • I find the tradition of Trick or Treating t obe a harmless tradition that many people seem to think is an evil one. I personally am borderline Christian, so I think that protesting Halloween is ignorant. Many Holidays such as Christmas and easter have tradition that are based on druidic and witch craft rituals. I enjoy knowing that people are still willing to partake in fun traditions like Hallween and Easter. I think this video like some things in the bible is based purley on opinion.

  • OH GREAT NOW THEY CAN JSUT TOALY DISABLE SOUND ON YOUTUBE wtf

  • this video ends in a threat? what a joke...religion has ALWAYS been at the root of hate, persecution for one or another's God. Believe what you will BUT let the other guy belief what he/she wants too. The biggest horror about Halloween is the commercialism...the over priced candy, costumes....ggeeessshhhh. Get over it religious people. PLEASE!

  • theres nothing secret about the meaning of halloween, you just never asked, ask any pagan, also ask about beltaine

  • They light fires to honor the Gods who gave them the sun and to pray for the return of the sun. Did you get this stuff from the internet? Because most of this is not archeologicaly sound.

  • @IsisEarthMother Very true, it sure is a shame when people do not do proper research. On another note not directed to you Isis but in general... this holiday has NOTHING to do with the devil seeing as we do NOT believe in the existance of the devil. Should christians celebrate halloween, easter or "christmas"? No they should not, But should they make false accusations about pagan beliefs and assume such insane things? No they definately should not!

  • @ebk197 and leaving it at that. Merry meet Isis and Many Blessings to you all. best of luck to you all on your spiritual quests. Hope you find your path and stick to it!

  • Three, they didn't wear masks to scare the dead, they would walk through the village and give food and presents to the graves in hope of staying on the deads good side. ( The tradition of costumes came from the Roman celebration of Pamona)

Seriously...jack-o-lanterns...you do know that pumpkins are native to North America right? Plus the church decided to integrate (graph) Samhanin into All Saint's day. And they called it All Soul's Day.

  • In the first minute of this video I have already found three major errors. The first is that it wasn't evil spirits, it is the spirits of those who had died in the past year. The Celts thought that on this night the barrier between worlds was extremely thin, and the deseased would rise up and pass through. However they were afraid that on their way the spirits would play pranks. Two, the Celts did not do anything or celebrate or worship their death god, because they didn't have one

  • wow...thanks for the condescending video. Nothing worse than ignorance combined with arrogance...I'm guessing you're a Christian? Yeah...respecting your ancestors and believing that the barrier between this world and the next was broken...that's WAY stupider than believing in a virgin birth of a formless God's son...who's mission could only be carried out by having those he loved torture him to death and now we drink his blood.. You should be careful of what you call evil.

  • Happy Halloween!! And to all you lunatic religious zealots YOUR HISTORY is blood stained with the lives of countless millions who have been persecuted and murdered as a sacrifice for your ineffectual jesus...And your lives are still worthless, forever seeking the salvation you will never find..

    Christianity=Cannibalism

  • Happy Samhain to all, both living and dead. )O(

  • @rusman74x Have a Blessed Samhain as well )O(

  • Okay, you might have wanted to do a bit more research, because Samhain was about more than what you said, it was a night of divination, a night of remembering those who passed, a time when the veil between the worlds seen and unseen were at its thinnest. And the lanterns in that aspect came from the candles being put in the window to guide their ancestors to them for this was also the only night they were allowed to roam and visit family.

  • whether we like it or not, all our ancestors were pagan in their beliefs. Samhain is a time to celebrate where we come from, remembering our ancestors, both pagan and Christian. The celtic terms 'samhain' and for instance, the welsh 'nos calan gaeaf ' illustrate this. The custom of 'guising' or masking comes from several British holidays, not just Samhain, St Stephens Day in Ireland has it's straw boys too. There is only evil in the minds of those who see these things as evil.

    coraclewoman

  • I'd like to point out that 'Samhain' is the Gaelige word for the festival. The Scots call it by a different name, as do the Welsh. We have no idea what the Gauls, Celtiberians, or Basques called it.

  • lol this is so stupid

  • Pagan and proud over here buddy. Happy Samhain to my pagan brothers and sisters.

  • @RickeyF1989 happy samhain to you to blessed be

  • THERE IS NOTHING EVIL ABOUT SAMHAIN. That is popular culture BS put out by the orthodox religions. Samhain, pronounced "Sow-en" (Gaelige word), is the feats of the dead, much like La Dia De Los Muertos.

There is NOTHING about "evil spirits rising" in Samhain at all.

You have not researched at all, in my opinion. You obviously have not done honest research. You want the truth? Then stop cowering behind popular belief and talk to real Pagans.

  • who play this music?

Halloween is satan ritual, all the tradition that does not celebrate the coming of Christ, are from Satan.

  • @pravoslavnivojnik Trick or Treat is far more holy than your bible

  • For information on the pagan festival of Samhain (Halloween), including traditions, lore, and ritual, visit my website-- The Witch's Corner-- and in the menu you'll find a page titled: Wheel of the Year. ladyamythyst.webs.com

  • good vid, but with a serious topic you shouldnt put "LOL's" in your video people might take you for a joke

  • actually the cat-lick (catholics) said it was evil, just like Afrikan culture and beliefs. The jack-o-lantern was originally the severed heads of the enemy and THAT enemy was the saxons. It has NOTHING to DO with evil that is a saxon concept. It is very similar to many african and indo conmcepts. It is not by coincidence that manu celtic people and the Irish in particular are still refered to as WIGGERS by saxon people, that is a derrogatory term maening whitge nigger!!! no kidding. peace!

  • erm ok well i did as with all my videos research the topic thoroughly......i dont know what your talkin about in the 2nd half of your reply lol

  • That's ok. The video was cool. The 2nd half is just historical, but that's ok too. Peace.

  • Halloween -- Kids dressing up in goofy costumes and getting candy. To them, it's very simple and very innocent.

Why do some people try to turn it into an evil thing?

  • Am not implying that people carrying out these activities such as dressing up and trick o treating are evil themselves. But more to the point they are sort of indirectly following evil traditions which can harm oneself (depending on their morals and belief)

  • @papafox Didn't you watch the video?

  • @papafox well maybe because IT IS a evil thing

  • @papafox it is an evil thing its the symbol of death and what is terrible you must not notice it is very bad children chanting "trick or treat" and going againts your god it is bad -_-

  • @FunnyCrazii It is holy to remember ones ancestors. Mary and the angels may be busy but your grandma always has your back

  • @papafox it is an evil thing
