  • A lotta talk and no follow through, where is it?

  • @pyramid2012 i just got back from the north America auto show in Detroit Michigan and they taking reservoirs it is expected to hit the road summer of next year

  • I'd like very much for my car to be low noise - I would find it futuristic - But I'd also like double glass windows- mabee with warm air circulation to defrost in the winter - just to make the experience more homey

  • i think it looks fragile and butt - ugly and truly it's a waste of money

  • @74project you should see this car in person its awesome

  • Will these be avalible in the U.S. ??

    this car is perfect!

  • @GrahamCrackers94 yes they will

    for a price of 35,000

  • i want one!

  • "Nuclear Power is the safest way"

"Americans will never give up gas cars"

"War is good for the economy"

"The old ways are the best"

"Take the controls off the banking system"

"The free market will take care of the medical system"

We have witnessed the catastrophic overt failure of conservative philosophy - as it brought the world to the edge of total financial collapse. Holding on to the past is inappropriate and shows that the basis of it all is FEAR. The future rocks. Embrace it and prosper.

  • Completely Agree!

Capatalism was founded on the philosophy of From one comes Many... Meaning You make a buck go ahead and do more so that we can always make more. Conserving rather than remaking and then reproducing is and always will be best.

  • Because of this thinking our economy is based on pieces of crap you buy over the phone

  • I agree with everything you said except for nuclear power. A new plant hasn't been built in America since 3 Mile Island melted, despite the fact that the incident only proved all the protections to contain the radiation worked almost perfectly, and that more computer controls and less human element should be in the control loop foe the future. Their were no long term environmental effects save for the public impression of Nuke power. look it up: 3 mile island; atomic batteries; fission, France!

  • Has a little more style to it. I wonder if they'll let me drive one?

  • If the majority of the population was to suddenly be able to go electric, it would put incredible strain on our power grid, which is primarily coal fired. Imagine the outcries of carbon emissions and possible blackouts. These technologies really do need to slowly phase in. However, this is very cool and I'm all about new tech.

  • Mind you Luvanicebum, they're ideal for using up the wasted power at night, where the power stations have to stay on line, but the demand is next to nothing.

You can sense the demand on the grid from your home, so you could also make intelligent chargers that reduced demand during the brief peaks during add breaks etc... so they could be managed to make the grid much more efficient on a mass market scale, improving the useful electricity for the same about of carbon burnt.

  • there is new tech called solar - wind power you can install one in your own backyard with now available State/Fed rebates !!! Drive around for FREE !! thanks to Zap and to the enviroment!!

  • There is new tech available : Solar -wind clean energy packages you can install in your own backyard . Great Fed/State rebates .Ride your Ev for Free!!! Thanks to Zap and the "enviroment"

  • Until we get those spontaneous free car generator/teleporters, the laws of physics and economics won't allow everyone to suddenly go electric.

What's more, lots of EV's in the grid can actually feed back into it if needed. Beyond that, there's the fact that most people will charge on off-peak hours (night time) where demand is lowest.

  • Hi Luvanicebum. Electrical supply for electric cars produces about 54% of the CO2 emissions of gasoline in the USA. Even less in California and Europe where the electricity is greener. Even if you used 100% coal power and charged it up during the peak demand it would create 99.5% of the CO2 of gasoline. Not more, not ever.

  • available in Dec 2009??...

    We'll talk then!

  • $35,000 much better than the Tesla's $109,000

  • Take a look at the Tesla S series. If this is 35k, I will pay a few more k for a Tesla S or a Mitsubishi iMiEV Sport.

  • Yeah, but the Tesla is supposed to have a couple hundred mile range and it looks more like a conventional car, less culture shock, oh and it's faster than a Lotus Elise.

  • I'll take one. Time to shift the power from oil refineries.

  • i'll take one too !!!

  • This is really nice, and Lotus are involved, so it will be successful for sure, with such design pedigree involved. I if a cover for the back section hidding the rear wheel would improve aerodynamics, and make it look smarter. I want one for sure !!!

  • I would buy this .... looks great . the idea that its all electric ...sweet.

Just want some more info and details of the car ... and is it available in Canada.. like victoria . bc

  • Dude, nothing decent is available in Canada... Just type BBC zen car. Our gouvernment dont want us to drive electric.

That's what we get for voting Harper...

  • How much and when can I buy one ?
