I have been looking for these gems for YEARS! I had the entire collection of them(the monster, super-hero and Planet Of The Ape records) as a child. I remember this word for word. It was one of my favorites along with TERROR IN THE SNOW, FRANKENSTEIN and most of the others. Thank you so MUCH for posting these classics!!!
So awesome. Got it for my birthday when I was 7 and loved it. I knew even then it was too scary for kids, but loved it anyway. Never played it for my mom.
This is one of the Man-Thing's stories they should adapt for a movie.
This is really cool! I have this record, along with a Star Trek record (Passage to Moauv), and 3 "Planet of the Apes" records (Escape, Battle, and Beneath).
I had some of these book and record sets as a kid, i remember this story freaking me the hell out. The "Spider-Man Vs. the Werewolf scared the daylights out of me as well.
You guys forgot to mention that besides depressing, this story was pretty freakin terrifying for a little kid. A freakin ghost clown dancing around in a ghostly spotlight and laughing at the guy because his boss is dead? Scary. Dude, SERIOUS props for posting this stuff. Not too many people in the general public had these things growing up, and I have very fond memories of them. I still have myne on vinyl.
Yea, this one is definately one of them records my mom would have thrown in the trash if she knew I had it! Not for young kids. But still a good story!
I bought the original comic back in 1974 at age 7. I remember reading it and wanting to cry - how many 20 cent comics start with a clown (of all things) committing suicide? It absolutely amazes me that with all of Marvel's comics to choose from, Power Records picked this one to adapt to their format...
oh, and I think that's Peter Fernandez (the voice of Speed Racer) doing the narration.
Love the 20 & 25 cent era comics (not sure the exact term) but that is the price range of my collection (about 900 comics) have had some since kindergarten. Anyone remember Red Wolf, one of my favs.
Then you have the original comic? Lucky you! All Man-Thing comics are rare to spot in my neck of the woods, but I've never seen this one. What did they re-write?
Thank you for all the work that went into this upload, I love the Man-Thing comics!

So awesome! I just read an article on Power Records in a recent issue of Fangoria. These stories should get a CD box set of some kind.
