  • sick, im into this sorta stuff and I'm getting a camera for my birthday which is in 4 days, I cant wait to try this out with my friends. :D

  • fake its faker then wwe

  • @Curtisandseth ...That's why the title says /stage/ combat.

  • @Curtisandseth no duh...in WWE the hits are real and the slams are real...just coreographed...this is "ACTING" like for a movie...

  • Looks.... So...... PAINFUL!!!

  • This reminds me a bit of the fight scene in "They Live"...."Put...on...the....glasses!"

  • I have some experience with dislocation, he would be either unconscious or delirious from and extreme endorphin release. He wouldn't be able to fight. And even if he was one of those 1 in a 1,000,000 fighters who can resist endorphins well enough to keep fighting, he would never be able to use that arm for blocking or throwing. It just wouldn't have the strength. It was a pretty good fight, but that kind of threw me.

  • that was sick

  • Absolute genius well executed.

  • that was awesome

  • I'm 12 and I already know some of them, but you do it sooo weell it look so real!!! :D Waw

  • dude, that was awesome

  • Some actors actually can be safe AND realistic, of course those are the ones that have practiced just as much on the acting as the combat.... It's fun to see a good natural balance. Keep on shining.

  • I'm a highschool drama student ._. So lawl my opinion doesnt matter but..

I loved it, but some of your cells seemed off. There were a few gaps between punches. Also, the reactions shouldn't just be physical, there should be some sort of emotional reaction. From what it showed, the reactions were kinda like "okay i'm gonna grab my stomach cause he hit me there, and then next i have to hit him back" it wasn't really believable, partly because you kept the same emotion going into the next cell.

  • Gaps between punches is camera's fault. Bad angle. :)

  • Very true, but what about when there isn't a camera? You really have no excuse.

  • There's always the director to blame... :P

  • Wonderful job, boys. The only problems I saw were the kick at :08, some of your punches, and he part where the guy in white puts the man in blues arm between his leg and pulls. The kick: Equal reaction, right? Your kick was NOT hard enough to make him fall. Same thing with the punches. He was reacting way too much to a tiny little wimpy punch. ONce again, same thing with the arm pull. You need to make it look like you're really pulling his arm. I didn't see you move at all.

  • This looks really interesting. Please would you watch my stage combat videos and tell me what you think?

  • I thought it was real good. As far as others saying same league as muay thai, which I also train, I can only reply that of course it's not the same...it's not supposed to be the same. Secondly, having people spar and then using a clip here and there from it does not usually work. A film has its own pace and is not really meant to be confused with actual reality. Rather, it is meant to assist the viewer to suspend reality and enjoy the artificial world created.

All in all, it was excellent!

  • wow your good, I'm learning at the moment.

  • stage combat now is obviously acting, i hate it no offense to anyone but in comparison to what i do Muay Thai its not in the official league.

  • The masking and napping is there, but without the intention it is kind of boring

  • Good choreograph, I liked it. Though I did see some air, and it would be nice if you used some acting to "spice" the whole thing up a bit. Otherwise, I really liked the brutality:)

  • The first priority of stage combat is that the actors are safe, not to make it as real as possible. This was very well done.

  • I don't know if you guys are told to do this, but I'm tired of seeing every shot land solid. in a real fight, not everything lands clean, usually if something lands clean it's over. I know people say well film and real life is different, but I thought actors are suppose to make it look as real as possible. If I was to film a scene I would just spar for real a few times and use the best one. For the typical acting style, you guys did a good job.

  • Very nice, gentlemen!

  • noobs

  • Very nice guys. Who choreographed this for you?

  • thanks for watching!

we choreographed the fight ourselves, but our stage combat prof is simon fon, based out here in toronto. stage combat is part of our 3 year classical theatre training. this semester we're learning quarter-staff, fencing, and broadsword--so stay tuned.

    cheers,

  • Very nice guys, who choreographed this for you?

  • wait...I don't get the "15" moves...What's the definition of 'one' move?

  • wow that was veryyy goooood...

  • BAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHA

sooooo gooood. Very realistic, even the poping of arm into socket. but lets get serious, the best part clearly was...

    the spit of discust.

    AHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAH

oh danny boy, the pipes are calling

  • who's that handsome gent in the blue shirt?
