The reason we're in Afghanistan is because they produce 90% of the worlds heroin. Our soldiers are protecting the poppy fields for the drug cartel so the Afghani civilians dont destroy the crops. Same reason why we have troops in South America. The government says its to keep the drugs out of terrorist hands but its our own government that is the terrorists. Politicians make tens of millions allowing the drugs to be transported into our country.

This war should have been waged from the start, not Iraq! Iraq was not the place of al-Queda, Afghanistan was. Who wants to see our military defeated. People were clapping and cheering when Brian said, "and our military will be defeated." With that being said, I think the time for being in Afghanistan has passed. We had the support of the world after 9/11 and Bush & Co. screwed up royally. We did what we could. We are not going to let thousand of our boys die in Afghanistan.
