Strolling Through Detroits Mt. Olivet Cemetery

Hi GraveHunterGuy, My grandmother whom I never met is buried in this cemetary. Do you know how I might go about locating her grave?

@dancinkindofguy There is one way you can find out the location of your grandmother. If you go to the website for the Mt. Elliott Cemetery Association which Mt. Olivet is a part of. After you go to the site, click on the "genealogy" link at the top of the page, type in your grandmas last name, and year of death, then go from there. Hope that helps that site is a treasure trove of info. Do a Google search for the website I mentioned.

@GraveHunterGuy Thanks GHG. I did do that but as I figured I didn't find much. I just know she was only 27 when she died, and I've always been curious as to what might have killed someone so young. I did find out what section she's buried in, so if I ever make it to the motor city I might look for her. Didn't know there was cosa nostra in Detroit, I thought the Purple Gang contolled it - they were Jewish!

@roselandalvin Hey Rose, thanks for the comment. I'm gonna individually respond to the comments you made on my other videos. Anyway as for this film. I do know about at least a dozen or so "alleged" old time prohibition era Detroit Mafioso's buried in Mt. Olivet. At one time I had a two part film series on my page where I visited the gravesites of the mafia figures. I had very annoying and obviously ashamed family member email me and threaten me. So I took them down.
