The shrimp taste bad because ur eating it wrong. I'm Jamaican, have had more than my fair share of shrimp and never once thought to eat the shell. The shell isnt that hard to remove and then u'd jus eat the shrimp tail. Some remove the chest casing/shell and eat the chest muscle that the legs are attach to. Never the course shell... eating something thats hard to swallow cant be appetizing.

@Kurruptedmindz I'm Jamaican from Santa Cruz, just down the road from Middle Quarters the home of pepper shrimp, and I've never seen people shell the shrimp we eat it whole. In St. Elizabeth it is sacrilege to shell your shrimp, must be an uptown Kingston thing.

@kwacou Nope. its more like a (1) i dont like gettin stuck in the roof of my mouth with sharp bits. (2) in culinary class they recommend splitting the shell on larger shrimp so they can be easily removed. If someone or even a whole parish of ppl choose to eat it with the shell on thats cool and is up to them but by no means does the shell improve the taste of the shrimp meat and i wouldnt recommend someone who is not used to pepper shrimp to eat it with the shell, chances are they wont like it.

I'm Asian, but I don't like Chinese food. I like Jamaican food. If you check my channel, I'm all about the Reggae. Other favorite foods include Italian, Mexican and good ole American bar food. Basically, anything fried lol. You can't forget the greasy diner and their burgers. I guess the top favorite is seafood. Calamari (I guess that classifies as Italian), lobster, crab legs, shrimp, scallops, craw fish, clams, oysters, talapia, salmon, swai etc are all good sh#t.

Great video duke... buying off the street the food taste better because the street vendor use wood or charcoal instead of gas and it cooks much much slower hence your supporting the local moms and pops with 3 or four kids and my favorite food is fry chicken and ox-tail combo.

my favorite food is curry goat.... it's funny, when i was a kid Tastee patties were the only game in town in JA - i think i'd prefer them, not too flaky. it's hard to find a beef patty in the US that's half decent, even where i am in FL.
