i have but one question...for everyone that takes time to help those around them near and far that take joy in helping them but bare the mark of pain because of their own past...are...Are we really meant to be happy or just happy for others...are we really meant to be in long spats of joy before it's stripped away...what...what exactly is to happen to the people that take the time and effort to comfurt those who are hurt...what is supposed to happen to us!!!!
who else thinks adventure time should be more emotional so there is a actually a REALLY GOOD LASTING (Unnatural History and Tower Prep, anyone?) on cartoon network!
I guess everyone wants to be hero deep inside....but none of em ever tried to get enough courage to do so...but if everyone was a hero then that means each one of us will start to compete against each other...until you will realize that you just become a villain...and lost track of the reason why you wanted to be a hero...then maybe...began giving up.....thats what comes to mind for me.
Heroism, a conflicted reality. Nothing more than an ideal, in fact, it doesn't even exist. there is no ultimate meaning or thing. All is One and One is All. Fullmetal Alchemist got their facts straight.
Heroism is an emotional, physical pull in which we inflict on another person. Stare into the girl's sky blue beautiful eyes. Although it is hard to see it, this shows the hardship this girl has, is, or will be facing. Whenever I listen to this song, it tugs my heartstrings and I feel a splotch of sorrow for no reason. Well done on the video my friend.
Heroism is indeed relative depending on the observer. If the act is of great benefit for your idea of reality, but of little to the one who commits the act, then a hero is born. At least for you. How widespread it is depends on which idea the act benefits, and how / if it is published.
Heroes aren't defined for they are experience. people don't need the news to know hero they just need to see it for themselves like the phrase the truth in the eyes of the beholder :)
@LedgendaryDemon1 hey i want to too when im older, what u say we get a bunch of people make a guild that helps every1 eh? i gv u my location u gv yurs and we all will take down every gang, terrorist, evil doer and so on if i cant get a better job after college or high school so demon, what u say im being honest and true hearted here? (nothing gay intended)
A hero, is someone who walks the path he has chosen without regrets or doubt and so lives a live free of the insecurities that trouble weaker men and women. A hero is a person who can inspire endless admiration or endless hatred in the heart of those around him.
It is not a matter of actions being right or wrong. It's a matter of envy. We all want to be heroes but only a few of us...can become one.
It has been said that nothing is so ordinary as the desire to be extraordinary. Heroes are not ordinary...they have too much to worry about to wonder whether or not they're ordinary, and frankly they don't care. Heroes don't have to be extraordinary, but no hero is ordinary, and more often than not inspire those around them to surpass the limited views that lead to concepts such as 'ordinary.'
Heroism, is villainy. Villainy, is heroism. Such concepts are irrevelant to our own desires, since we dont live in the world of serious non lesbian anime. Japan proves all the time, all the time, that is truely the greatest country in the world. We, as people outside these worlds of adventure and epic fantasy and emotion, can not possibly comprehend, not even the idea, of facing these ideals and overall logical truths. The day when it will happen i look forward too, yet cower of as well.
Heroes are the ones who will risk their own well-being for something they value higher than themselves. Heroes aren't unanimously loved, because with the heroism of one usually comes the jealousy, spite, or resentment of another. But a hero can live with this, because their choices aren't for the sake of being loved, but for the sake of loving something or someone else, whether that's a person, a nation, or humanity.
But there can never be a universal hero as long as we have different beliefs.
Actually heroism is protecting a stranger, what Mega speaks off is unconditional love, love that is the will to sacrifice one´s self for another who they love no matter what, you don´t need to be a hero to try and save the ones you love.
@goruu Because In anime and manga, nobody wants to create an ugly main charecter. Also, theres more than anime and manga, example, real life... just cause t.v. shows pretty heroes doesn't mean they need to be. It seems maybe you need to get out more.
Heroism is belief. Belief in what you are doing, belief in yourself, belief in what you know is right. Others may not see the same way as you in every situation, and you may not be on TV talk shows for "being a hero" and saving someone from drowning. Anyone that can swim could do something like that and it was just chance that someone was drowning near them. Heroism is belief in yourself and what you believe in and following your dreams no matter what.

Heroism is when the hero is pretty and has everything but willing to give up everything for his/her silly ideals. If the character is ugly, and don't have everything but will give his/her life to save another person, he/she is not a hero. He/she will be another side character saving the real hero's (boy/girl) friend.
well you could argue till the end of all days, but it's pointless.
like koreankimchikun said, heroism cant be defined, cause everyone have a different view how a hero should be. But you could say a hero is someone, who fights to protect others. That is what most of the heros have in common, may it be a soldier or Rebell who fight for freedom or a scientist, who fights against death. Everyone is a hero to someone else.
Heroism is a twisted conflicted relativity. To some, Americas military are heroes. To others, they are an anti-religious evil oppressive capitalist army. To some, terrorists are heartless monsters. To others, they are freedom fighters. Nothing in this world can be so easily defined. Every concept, every belief, every understanding that we have is simply an illusion casted upon ourselves by those around us.
@koreankimchikun The concept of HEROISM is different from each viewpoint, sometimes I really feel ashamed when some Youtube users tend to call the US armies as heroes when they just invade countries for non other motive than stealing his natural resources or trying to force them to be "friends" with Uncle Sam....
@Saiyajinsoul86 Just an false image that the mass media comunication feeds to justify the carnage and destruction that these MIGHTY COUNTRIES do around the world.
@koreankimchikun I believe those who can see everyone as equals but unfair circumstances cause people to be born into hardship making choices out of confusion and fear, those who can admit how unfair the world is are quite special. Someone who can see the fragments of innocence on one's soul and can feel the goodness in everybody, who would feel more torment than possible from seeing others in pain and then when the person who caused that pain is crippled and crying, helping.
@koreankimchikun take the shallowest part about heroism and cast light only on that...really. it's all true but that's one little piece of the hero pie. personally i like pie so imma eat the whole thing.
@clannadtears xDDDDD Dude I wasn't saying that bc I watch too much Schwarzeneger films, heck I only saw several of them or four to say the least but HEY it was just my imagination.......*sigh* just look at the comment columns and find mine pls then you'll understand :)
@fbiuzz Yes, but only for that person's society. Look away from those around you and your acts may be detrimental to others. To some, terrorists are evil and the American military is doing the world a favor. But to those in support of the terrorists, they are freedom fighters. It's all in perspective, my good man.
@Cal1c0cat yes i know that. I was just saying what was the common view of heroism is helping others. Also heroism change from culture to culture as well as society and that the view of heroes change over time. Lets take Hercules a "classical" hero, he rape the Amazon Queen, fed a guy to his own (flesh-eating) horses, and had a frat-boy party at someones funeral, this would not be considered a hero by our standards, but to the Ancient Greeks he was look on as their version of Superman
Why are the two top comments from (most likely) 10yr olds amped up from watching some action packed thriller, which ended with some half-assed writers' attempt at evoking emotional compensation from the audience?.... These kids got thumbs up?.....d.i.s.t.u.r.b.i.n.g.
Heroism is when you sacrifice everything you have in order to do what you believe is right, even if the others does not see the fruit your sacrifice has bore...
a hero, the person u hold in high regard. ur savior, or the person who has brought u from the darkness. he or she is the person who is strong when noone else is. the only one who will cry and still hold their head up, the person who will sacrifice themselves for ur safety and welfare of others. they are ppl who give their all to achieve one thing in life: to be remembered by the ppl they have changed in their life. a true hero doesnt ask for anything in return. those ppl, are the true heros.
What the heck is up with the top comment...there's nothing heroic about death or sacrifice. And the whole thing about fathers and sons...that's sexist, you know. Soldiers dying in war is not "heroic". It's just sad. Heroes aren't people who die, they're people who save others.
Love and loss bro, love and loss. You think someone could die without leaving a gaping hole where they left? To someone, somewhere, someone else is a hero. For one person, it may be some comic book character. For one, it may be their closest friend. For yet another, it may be you, or me. And for one person out there... somewhere... everyone is a hero. I can face my demons with a myself, but I can only lay them to rest by being a hero. A true hero... lives. That is all. They cause no pain.
@TheOlvaid omg it was just imagination, look ik war is terrible..I agree but dude it was just imagination -__- (GOD PPL THESE DAYS SOMETIMES NEED TO THINK BEFORE TYPING -__-)
follow the path of sadness and sarrow, not looking back on your old life, trying too forget or remember?, wat is it that u want ?.... geus wat !.... you are the one who makes changes.... dont look back keep going till you reach the path of life and happiness!... follow the light.... follow your heart..... feel and be FREE!
@MegaAXXXXX 0_0 WOAH now thats the greatest definition of heroism i've ever seen, now that hit my heart pretty well. but I can imagine this song playing while squads of marines with tanks and air strikes trying to get the civilans to evacuate while thousands of terrorist warriors coming to that location...in the end all of the soldiers die except one that sacrificed his life by detonating the C4's around the town causing a huge explosion killing all of the terrorist.
@xXTheHeroicGamerXx Those you imagine are not even close to heroism. what you described is just a slaugther... i feel sorry for ppl like you, hwo believe there are heroes in war.
To me, the true heroes are not the ones who fight, and do it to save us, but those who don't fight, and do to save us. People like Mahatma Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Millicent Fawcett. The ones who faced fists and guns, but did not fight back, but still held the line.
Heroism is when you sacrifice yourself to save somebody important to you and close to your heart heroism is when you die to save someone for the greater good heroism is when you die saving many lives heroism is you make a great sacrifice to save other heroism are the fathers and sons of mankind protecting there children and wives not stopping and forever protecting them and those they loves heroism is a force that needs love to happen heroism is one of the few good things in this world
@MegaAXXXXX Can I mention that you would also hurt the ones you leave behind, I know this may seem stupid but I think they should struggle to not only protect others but make sure they live so that the ones they love will not suffer
@MegaAXXXXX In my opinion your definition of Heroism require too much sacrifices and death...For me a true Hero wouldnt need to sacrifice himself because a true Hero is always ready for the fight,he know how to win it and he know He Will win it!So in order to make the person hes trying to protect as a hero he also need to be able to keep the smile on that person face..and by dying im sorry but the person will obviously be sad..so for me a true Hero will always come back alive without sacrifices!
@thecakewuzalie True darkness lies beyond the sacrifice. When you sacrifice your heart, your darkness, your loneliness, should strike you better and deeper. Like water in a stone, it keeps fighting you and consuming you.
There is no "untill" or no "end", it is there, it will be there, and it will not end.
Being a legend or legendary may or may not associate with it.
It doesnt matter how godlike you are.
If your deeds arent known, if no1 saw you act, you arent a legend.
Heroism isn't about sacrifice. Sacrifice depends on decision but if the man has lived happy life and is prepared to face the god with smile, then his death will only cause suffering to his loved ones.
Herosim is when you are willing to protect even if it costs you your life.
Sacrifice and heroism are two differents things, people become heroes the moment they stand up and fight, not the moment they die.
@28Vampirel28 Sadly enough though they are mostly noticed once they are gone. and even in some cases just forgotten or treated as they did nothing at times.
@MegaAXXXXX That isn't Heroism. That's foolish. Being remembered, that is heroism. Leaving a footprint on someone. Making them think back and say that you changed their life. That is what heroism is. If you die, and are remembered tragically, you can't save anyone in the future. For someone, what you do is heroic, no matter what it is. So live on, my friends, make your impression on the world, and most importantly, never forget those who have lost their lives to ensure yours. Live a long life.
When one give a life for another.. Is heroism.. When one saves us all from our inner demons.. Is heroism.. and many other things... That is MY definition of Heroism..
@Warriorofthebattle@MegaAXXXXX Heroism is a display of courage and a willingness of selfsacrifice. You don't have to die to be a hero. You also don't have to sacrifice anything, you just have to be willing to. That is true heroism.
Justice never existed, it was created.

RageBoy5 1 month ago
@koreankimchikun take the shallowest part about heroism and cast light only on that...really. it's all true but that's one little piece of the hero pie. personally i like pie so imma eat the whole thing.

A hero is when someone does something for the good of others or society as whole with little to no benefit to themselves

@fbiuzz It's called Altruism.
GuyFromCoby 3 months ago
@fbiuzz Yes, but only for that person's society. Look away from those around you and your acts may be detrimental to others. To some, terrorists are evil and the American military is doing the world a favor. But to those in support of the terrorists, they are freedom fighters. It's all in perspective, my good man.
Cal1c0cat 2 months ago
@Cal1c0cat yes i know that. I was just saying what was the common view of heroism is helping others. Also heroism change from culture to culture as well as society and that the view of heroes change over time. Lets take Hercules a "classical" hero, he rape the Amazon Queen, fed a guy to his own (flesh-eating) horses, and had a frat-boy party at someones funeral, this would not be considered a hero by our standards, but to the Ancient Greeks he was look on as their version of Superman
fbiuzz 1 month ago
@fbiuzz Hercules never raped the Amazon queen. He strait out killed her.... Get your Mythology right...
ToxicFume 1 month ago
@ToxicFume well then he killed a Queen, fed a guy to his own horses and had a frat boy party at a king's wife's funeral

True definition of heroism: Increases melee, ranged, and spell casting speed by 30% for all party and raid members. Lasts 40 sec.
Allies receiving this effect will become Exhausted and be unable to benefit from Heroism or Time Warp again for 10 min.

Why are the two top comments from (most likely) 10yr olds amped up from watching some action packed thriller, which ended with some half-assed writers' attempt at evoking emotional compensation from the audience?.... These kids got thumbs up?.....d.i.s.t.u.r.b.i.n.g.

a hero, the person u hold in high regard. ur savior, or the person who has brought u from the darkness. he or she is the person who is strong when noone else is. the only one who will cry and still hold their head up, the person who will sacrifice themselves for ur safety and welfare of others. they are ppl who give their all to achieve one thing in life: to be remembered by the ppl they have changed in their life. a true hero doesnt ask for anything in return. those ppl, are the true heros.
reapordeath 5 months ago
What the heck is up with the top comment...there's nothing heroic about death or sacrifice. And the whole thing about fathers and sons...that's sexist, you know. Soldiers dying in war is not "heroic". It's just sad. Heroes aren't people who die, they're people who save others.
Michellelee977 5 months ago
Love and loss bro, love and loss. You think someone could die without leaving a gaping hole where they left? To someone, somewhere, someone else is a hero. For one person, it may be some comic book character. For one, it may be their closest friend. For yet another, it may be you, or me. And for one person out there... somewhere... everyone is a hero. I can face my demons with a myself, but I can only lay them to rest by being a hero. A true hero... lives. That is all. They cause no pain.

Shadowhunternight1 6 months ago
@MegaAXXXXX 0_0 WOAH now thats the greatest definition of heroism i've ever seen, now that hit my heart pretty well. but I can imagine this song playing while squads of marines with tanks and air strikes trying to get the civilans to evacuate while thousands of terrorist warriors coming to that location...in the end all of the soldiers die except one that sacrificed his life by detonating the C4's around the town causing a huge explosion killing all of the terrorist.
xXTheHeroicGamerXx 6 months ago 41
@xXTheHeroicGamerXx Those you imagine are not even close to heroism. what you described is just a slaugther... i feel sorry for ppl like you, hwo believe there are heroes in war.

To me, the true heroes are not the ones who fight, and do it to save us, but those who don't fight, and do to save us. People like Mahatma Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Millicent Fawcett. The ones who faced fists and guns, but did not fight back, but still held the line.

@MegaAXXXXX Nah man, heroism increases your melee, ranged and spellcasting speed by 30%.
Nah i joke, your defination was better i just thought it would be funny to put that xD
damothedemon 5 months ago
@MegaAXXXXX Can I mention that you would also hurt the ones you leave behind, I know this may seem stupid but I think they should struggle to not only protect others but make sure they live so that the ones they love will not suffer
wanabepokefan 5 months ago
@wanabepokefan But it is a great definition you gave
wanabepokefan 5 months ago
@MegaAXXXXX In my opinion your definition of Heroism require too much sacrifices and death...For me a true Hero wouldnt need to sacrifice himself because a true Hero is always ready for the fight,he know how to win it and he know He Will win it!So in order to make the person hes trying to protect as a hero he also need to be able to keep the smile on that person face..and by dying im sorry but the person will obviously be sad..so for me a true Hero will always come back alive without sacrifices!

@MegaAXXXXX Leaving loved people suffering for your death is not heroic
serpente3000 4 months ago
@MegaAXXXXX and legendary is doing all that and surviving......
thecakewuzalie 4 months ago 2
@thecakewuzalie True darkness lies beyond the sacrifice. When you sacrifice your heart, your darkness, your loneliness, should strike you better and deeper. Like water in a stone, it keeps fighting you and consuming you.
There is no "untill" or no "end", it is there, it will be there, and it will not end.
Being a legend or legendary may or may not associate with it.
It doesnt matter how godlike you are.
If your deeds arent known, if no1 saw you act, you arent a legend.
blakan3 4 months ago
@MegaAXXXXX You got that wrong.
Heroism is admired for actions not death.
28Vampirel28 4 months ago 7
@28Vampirel28 Sadly enough though they are mostly noticed once they are gone. and even in some cases just forgotten or treated as they did nothing at times.
TheIronFist95 4 months ago 2
@MegaAXXXXX That isn't Heroism. That's foolish. Being remembered, that is heroism. Leaving a footprint on someone. Making them think back and say that you changed their life. That is what heroism is. If you die, and are remembered tragically, you can't save anyone in the future. For someone, what you do is heroic, no matter what it is. So live on, my friends, make your impression on the world, and most importantly, never forget those who have lost their lives to ensure yours. Live a long life.
PainfulMemories853 3 months ago 19
@MegaAXXXXX Therefore I'm not a hero but a villain.

@Warriorofthebattle @MegaAXXXXX Heroism is a display of courage and a willingness of selfsacrifice. You don't have to die to be a hero. You also don't have to sacrifice anything, you just have to be willing to. That is true heroism.
