  • this isn't the version I remember hearing on the radio.

  • The Tymes also had a BIG hit in 1974 or 1975 with "You Little Trustmaker", one of the better songs of the 70's!

  • Nice recording --- but I still think Art Garfunkel's version is the best.

  • They appeared at Gannon University in 1968 along with Ruby and the Romantics.

  • they did this on some TV show back in the 70's..It was Midnight Special or one of those shows. Wish I could find that one on the Tube

  • MI PIACE MOLTO,GRAZIE TANTO.

  • This definitely takes me back to the block in north Philly. I was 11 years old and me and my boys would sit on the stoop and try to sing this at night while the girlies jumped double dutch. I was really never that much of a singer though....that's why I started playing the sax. Thanks for the memories....definitely an all time favorite doo wop1

  • Beautiful

  • one of the great songs of the 60's. I remember it like it were yesterday.

  • i was born 24 hrs after this song hit the #1 Spot; well i love it* i googled #1 hit song w/ my birthdate...nice*

  • This album was a concept album, think back. An album all about one relationship. They get no credit for that! The Beach Boys(Pet Sounds) took the basic "concept" idea, albeit, rather more loosely and the Beatles, Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye followed...

  • The Tymes had such incredible harmony! Several of their songs are on my all time favorites list. Listen to their rendition of "Goodnight my love" written by Jesse Belvin, it's the best.

  • Wow, I was 18 years old, so many memories. Thanks for posting and all the best to all from Chesterfield UK.

  • Donald Banks, their Org. Bass singer just passed away.

  • in wonderful wonderful he sounds like johnny mathis

  • @cippy2k Hello!! Johnny Mathis DID do a version of Wonderful Wonderful! Both versions are great!!

  • I was a mere child when this was recorded. Love it ever since

  • I remember hearing their version of "Wonderful, Wonderful" on the oldies shows on the radio. I have this song on an album from a radio station.

  • fantastic harmony...1963 was a great year....thanks for sharing a group I hold so dear..

  • GREAT!

  • did ya get to see this group ( The Tymes on the PBS show KET channel last year!

    They are still great!

  • YEP!

Biggie in the 60's when I was out there dancing to this song!

Love the memories that followed this song, dancing to every teen club on the week-end, singing under the light pole at night!

    Yep,Memories, Great memories!

wonder how many of us can still sing these oldies all the way thru!!

I'm one of them that never miss a word, they are buried in my mind, my friend!

To now my grandsons are singing them!! lol

  • How wellI remember this song! But what happened to the group? They sounded so great, but this is the only song I remember from them.

  • @early60srcool The Tymes are still around (not all the original members), but they had several hits including "Wonderful, Wonderful" (a cover of the Johnny Mathis hit), and "Ms. Grace", the single biggest selling Carolina Beach music hit of the decade of the 70's (I have it posted on YouTube)...Lanny (Nocaro)

  • Never heard of them, it has nothing to do with Cole Porter song i thought at first, its really cool music, wonderful a capella, almost at least!!:-)
