I first saw River in Episode 1 of Series 6, The Impossible Astronaut. Then in Day of the Moon, then back with the Byzantium and the weeping angels. After that was Silence in the Library, so I knew River pretty well by the time I got here. So it was absolutely heart breaking for me to watch these two episodes. I will always love River Song.

Seems some people are having trouble with the whole "first meeting" thing. Take one of them, the Doctor for instance, in his timeline this is the first time he has met her. In Song's the first time they met was in "Let's Kill Hitler", well technically when she was a baby but she doesn't remember that; brainwashing, it really sucks. So, when she is saying that he hasn't met her yet she is refering to her timeline and thus there is no incontinuity to the writing.

@krmanumba1 Yeah, but she has pictures of all his faces (Mentioned in "Flesh and Stone") and probably knows that this one has to be earlier than the one she knows. She also mentioned the look in his eyes, which probably got notably more "grave-and-ancient-ish" after the events of Journey's End and the 2009 Specials. (She does, however, call him out on being a bit more pessimisting than she's used to - Amy did away with a considerable portion of that heroic self-depreciation in early series 5)

Also, it must be so horrible for her. She spent all her life with only stories of him for company, all alone, in that creepy orphanage, being told that she's the reason he exists. He was her mom's best friend and played a substantial part in bringing her parents together (Because Amy didn't see Rory as more as decoration/a cheap replacement before he got a chance to prove his very own worth) , he saved her and turned her from a psycho into the almost motherly person we see here.
