In the past you'd get hit when it really looked like you didn't, now you sometimes don't get hit when it looked like you did! the game's great though, don't get me wrong.

Is portable 3rd really hard to play in Japanese? I'm quite familiar with the MH franchise

@Android480 When you've played any other MH it's easy, only the armor skills are a problem. But you can use the english patch, which changes the names for objects and some other stuff to english.

@Captainash29 Gigginox. There's a low rank maw drop and a high rank maw drop, if I recall correctly. I forget which is which, but you can compare the rarities to figure it out.

@Captainash29 I think I used the Pumpkin set in low rank and high rank with a hammer (probably the gun or peco/rath hammer). Fire is its main elemental weakness, while Dragon and Water are respectable alternatives. I imagine bowgunning or bowing it would work well enough, too. Just make sure you focus on the head when it's not enraged, and the tail when enraged.

i got my 3ds for about 90 bucks at gamestop. they were doing a deal if you traded in ur ds of any kind, the day before the price drop then you get it for 90 bucks. plus i traded stuff in and only paid 8 bucks for it.

@10387 I kind of don't really like a lot of the trade in values Gamestop offers. You really don't get the money some games/hardware are worth. Although, they do have some really good deals. The one you did to get a discounted 3DS was a good one, and they usually have that "Trade In Two of these listed games and only pay ~$20(or less) for this new release" deal, which I like.

MH3G is slated for a EU release in August 2012, no word yet on a US release, the game has a little less monsters than MHFU, also there is a Alatreon subspecies and the Ceadeus subspecies is basically a Ceadeus all grown up, the new elder dragon is Guren-Miraosu and all of his weapons have purple sharpness in their base forms. Also Deviljho has a new form similar to the Golden Rajang called "Hungry Deviljho", it is much stronger, much faster, never leaves rage mode and is freaking scary looking

@JuulXhorse First, check your equipment details to see what coatings your bow can use. Presumably it can use power coatings, since most can and it's the default coating you're going to want to use. With your bow drawn, you should be able to cycle through your different coatings like bowgun ammo. When you've selected the one you want to apply, hit triangle and circle.

Here's the thing; seeing as how MHTG is released in Japan, and there is a European release date, and the fact that 3DS is regional, it is highly likely that North America and Australia will recieve a release date for MHTG soon.

Hey, Social. There is a way to take off the top off the 3DS case (the side with 2 cameras) and put some wires in some places and record directly from the system. It is convoluted, but you might be interested. Look it up, I don't know too much about the method. And the Circle Pad Pro is apparently pretty boss. And the 3DS is selling better than the DS did in the first year. Maybe you could find the 3DS Recording tip interesting?
