greaatest tenor man of last 35 years.. and likely a while before that, nods to Dex Joe Henderson, also Willis Jackson Red Holloway Turrentine Jr Walker so underrated ..but none of the kids have gotten to this - and of course not to Benny's compsotional level, which is oeprating at desk and as he blows his horn

@weskoki Yes, Benny can play the blues. Did you ever hear the music for the movie 'Les Liaisons Dangereuses' (around 1958), played by the Jazz Messengers with Lee Morgan and Benny Golson? Listen e.g. to 'Blues for Vava'.
