  • The Doctor Who producers just don't make episodes like this anymore! In my opinion, 'The End of Time' along with 'The Stolen Earth/Journey's End' was the peak of Doctor Who awesomeness. The acting, the story, the tension, everything was just... "SPECTACULAR!" to quote the Master. Ever since David Tennant left, the acting, the characters and everything went downhill. David Tennant, John Simm, Bernard Cribbins and Timothy Dalton FOR THE WIN!!!! Four fantastic actors.

  • JAMES BOND IS A TIME LORD!?

  • As a new fan, this special was actually the first regeneration I've ever seen on the show.

  • One person did not vote: FOR VICTORY FOR GALLIFREY FOR THE END OF TIME ITSELF

Poor bastard will now be forced in the weeping angel stance for the rest of eternity

  • @galanopouloc 2 people

  • Oh, no! The TARDIS is buried under loads of snow so the Doctor can't go in there to regenerate and visit all his companions and stuff. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

  • Need the music.. NOW! :(

  • the end of time part 1 and 2 were great and i can't count how many times iv watched it

  • Bring back the Time Lords in season 7?

  • The end of Russell T Davies tenure.....In retrospect, what an era it was.

  • Although I prefer Tom Baker, Tenant does seem to be able to fall from higher places and survive.

  • Aws I have suspected since the frist time I saw George Lazenby, James Bond is a time lord.

  • Best episode. Master turns good, gains revenge on Rassilon, saves the Doctor in the process... And then series 5 came.

What the hell happened? No more epic finales? No more brilliant episodes? Moffat has ruined DW and if RTD was writing for Smith it would be amazing. It sucks now, completely convaluted plots, and deaths every five minutes. Plus the whole River Song thing was overplayed.

  • @cybersunday07 RTD wrote stories which suited children more than families. Moffat writes things that people actually think about. Russel T Davies's good stories in his time were written by Steven Moffat. The Empty Child/Doctor Dances. The Girl In The Fireplace. Blink. Time Crash. Silence In The Library/Forest Of The Dead = Steven Moffat. Those episodes were the best of their series. Love and Monsters = RTD.

And anyway, Moffat declined Hollywood twice for Doctor Who, so you can't criticise him.

  • @doctorwho786

The Waters of Mars, The End of Time = RTD

  • @Luxayan End Of Time was one of the childish ones. Why did everyone randomly have bad dreams? Why did Wilfred remember? Why didn't Donna remember? Why didn't Donna change if she had bad dreams? Why did she have bad dreams too?

  • @doctorwho786 - Moffat is a good writer, but his plots are way-overacted. If he'd invite me to write an episode for the series I'd gladly write something phenomenal. You know, without the constant deaths of characters every five episodes. You do realise the Doctor has died five times in two series, right? He died in part 1 of series 6 twice (including flesh-version) and three times in the second half of the series. Rory's died four times and Amy's died twice.

    It's ultra-confusing.

  • @cybersunday07

Which Writer do you think is Better, Russel T Davies or Steven Moffat????

  • @Luxayan I'd say Moffat, mainly because he knows how to write, but lacks a good story. So RTD is better at the story part, Moffat is better at the writing part.

  • @cybersunday07 Erm...The Girl in the Fireplace, Blink, The Pandorica Opens, all won HUGO awards...and you're saying Moffat doesnt know a good story?

    Idiot.

  • @cybersunday07 Ultra shit morelike. ;)

  • @cybersunday07 Yep, I agree with you on the whole overacted plot thing. It seems like too much is happening to the Tardis team itself (a bit like a soap opera). I like it better when the main focus is on travelling and having crazy adventures, with personal stuff on the side.

RTD is my fave writer, but both of them are very talented. It's just a question of taste. :

  • RTD's style was definatly for children, but that's not a bad thing as DW is a family show, and it's largest audience IS children.

  • @ZipZagginGallifrey Don't children (under 13's) make up about 20-25% of the audience?

  • Loved this episode. I think this and The Waters of Mars were the best episodes for Doctor Who with David. The scripting wasn't as good for most of the other episodes.

  • david tennant AND matt smith are just as good as each other - all the doctors are :)

  • In Russel T Davis biography, it is said that the woman that keeps seeing Wilfred Mott is the Doctors mum

  • Despite seeing this episode 500 times, this trailer still gave me shivers!!

  • timlords r returning sooo sik!!!

  • this is sad

  • Czemu tak długo trzeba na to czekać ??

  • I think the entire point of Season 4 and the Specials was to break the Tenth Doctor, take away everything he had and drive him insane. Then when he became 11, 11 would go back to his alien, time lord roots. 10 became too human, so they had to break him to make him go back to alien

  • 0:16 always makes me tear up, the music prob

  • John Simm was the best thing about this episode

  • This episode is my all time favorite :) Just EPIC!

    RESPECT!

  • Could this have been.... the most anticipated DW episode ever? I remember the week long gap seemed to take forever!

  • Loved the episode!!! Amazing, the ending was soo sad, cried like crazy!!!....

i hated the fact he died alone, but i love the scene with rose and him :(

  • EPIC!

  • best doctor who episode trailer ever!!! :D

  • i didnt want david tennent to change into matt smith as he is a shite doctor but it was a good episode with the time lords returning

  • @RichFullert Matt Smith a kickass doctor. Too attatched to DT. But u only say matt's shit whihc infact he is one of the best doctors, but u only says hes bad coz of DT. Give him a chance and if u hate him. Have good reasons you NOB!

  • @RichFullert Hey you matt smith is great as being the doctor. All david tennant did was cry all the time

  • @CPTTAYLOR592 Sorry, but what a fucking idiot you are. The Tenth Doctor is THE best Doctor ever, Smith is good too, but not as good as Tennant was.

  • can someone please tell me the music that starts at the begining of the end of time part 2 when it shows the time lords

  • does anyone know what the music at the beginning of the video is?

  • @jprince815 its the series four Doctors Theme

  • that was the saddest episode ever i nearly cried, but all the women near me were bawling when he said "I don't want to go."

  • @hiimjnki2 ahaha!

  • "This was the day...the television lords returned..."

    "FOR THE BBC"

    "FOR TV RATINGS"

"FOR THE END OF TELEVISION ITSELF!"

    "BBC RISES!"

  • Did someone knows what's the name of the second music played in the trailer? Just when Thimothy Dalton says "GALIFREY RISES!"....

  • The dramatic scale Doctor Who has reached since it's return is phenomonal! I'll admit i'm liking the dialogue in the latest series (feels more like old school DW) but I salute you Russel T Davis and both Chris E and David T, you revived it brilliantly!!

  • @shepja87 nah RTD is a dick at writing. He always plays it safe and never changes and its just the same repetetive shit. He actually called the show and DRAMA and made it melodramatic! Steven Moffat is going back old school, darker and breaking boundaries. The Almost peple cliffhanger will be like: HOLLLLLLLLLYYYY SHITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT and den ep 7 will be like: HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLY SHIT!

  • @Smallvillenerd I wouldn't say he kept stories the same, what got me bout his writing was how companions look up to the doctor, series 1-4 was bum kiss o'clock for all the companions. DT's doctor also became a bit of a know it all and a goofy, not eccentric. Also RTD tugged at your heart one minute, then put in an idiotic comedy sequence like at the beginning of Love & Monsters, you ask to chuckle brothers to do what they did and they'd have more self respect

  • @shepja87 although saying that, DT's final speech before he saved Wilfred's life did have me devestated a bit :-(

  • This Song Is Ending BE WARNED

  • does anybody know the name of the music that starts to play when wilf starts to cry i want that to be played at my funeral RIP 10th Doctor (a.k.a) David Tennant whom we all have a secret crush on

  • @AlternateTimelineGuy The music up until 0:21 is The Doctor's Theme [series 4]. Then it changes into something else, I think it may ba a variation of one songs used in special.

It's been a year since we've said goodbye to Ten :( I miss him.

  • oh it was incredible!

I loved it so much ... the Doctor had become so bitter towards the end, so powerful, and so terrible ... he was so sad, and it was so sad to watch him. What he became without a companion, what he turned to when he knew he was going to die.

But don't worry Doctor ... we will sing you to your sleep ... :')

  • Loved it! I really want Gallifrey and the Time Lords to come back permanently but i don't think that will happen :'(

  • @robertcasey97 Me too. Sadly, that's unlikely, especially since Steven Moffat the current Producer sees no place for them on the show. But never fear, the Master will return. He always does. Other recurring Time Lords from the past include Romana, the Meddling Monk, the Rani and Omega. I think they'll all return eventually as well. Not to mention the Doctor's daughter, Jenny. Plus there's a new character called Idris introduced next series. She's rumoured to be a Time Lady.

  • @Kaagh178 yeah i read that somewhere, i hope she is a time lady. But you never know. I can't wait for the next series! :)

  • I cried. Alot. Like really flooded. Honestly

  • i miss this era of Doctor Who =( oh well the new ones alright..

  • @getdrinking shut the hell up! David Tennant is amazing, and that was some of the best acting I've seen him do!

I never cry at movies or TV (except Marley and Me cuz I have a yellow lab), but I spent that whole 40 minutes crying my eyes out. David was my first Doctor; I saw him in Fires of Pompeii during my Latin class, and I absolutely adore him. Don't hate! If you didn't like it go watch the 9th Doctor... Never liked him...

  • @ShayTheWolf13

Exaclty, The End Of Time Part 2 Ending was too sad. Now that is what i call a good ending for a Good Doctor. Matt Smith will probaly just have the same way at the 9th Doctor lol.

  • @Luxayan Fuck you! DT's leaving was like: Who the shit cares about you wimping about dying. Get on with it! You only hate Matt becoz of DT. Give him a chance. He's actually really good you Prick!

  • @Smallvillenerd

Lol, he aint better comapared dt

  • @Luxayan it's all a matter of opinion and i think you're just a tennant fanboy who watched his dr who and bagged the rest of the show. Matt Smith is relly nailing thejob and when i watched DT sometimes he was so annoying i felt embarrased to watch the show. Anyway DT got a bad end, End of Time were shit two parters and didn't do good for DT

  • @Smallvillenerd

    David Tennant can Act Better!!!!

  • @Luxayan that's yor opinion, Matt Sith is quirkier and betetr for the role, and doesn't get repetetive

  • This should be... Spectaculaaarrr....

  • love the beginging it really shows how at the end of david tennants carrer they did a great line

  • tennant and simm are a good master and doctor pair...

  • A truly amazing 2 parter. I will miss DT but matt smith is gr8 as the doctor and series 5 is awesome!

  • i want to know whos going to be the 12th docter :|

  • @jamesthered123 #

yeah, but I hope its someone good. i also want to see a multi-doctor episode at some point, and a new regeneration sequence, preferably one outside of the TARDIS so that something goes wrong with it. would be interesting to see imo ^^

  • @georgercop

:D it would be COOL if david returned as the multi-docter :D

  • i don't cry at anything ever...but at the end of the second part when the doctor says " i don't want to go! i nearly burst into tears shouting neither do i !!!!!!!!...XD it wont be the same without DT...

  • DOCTOR WHO IS AMAZING. what an epic trailer!!!!!!!!!

  • How's anyone supposed to get in the TARDIS if it's buried in snow?

  • @finagle007 snow melts, eventually...

  • i am so annoyed i can't watch it WAAAAA not out in HK

  • look it up!! its on youtube i just watched it

  • David deserves some kind of recognition for his acting especially when he heard the four knock from Wilf

  • =(

    i miss 10th doctor alredy =(

  • longest death scene ever... christ! we knew he was going to die just get on with it and not have 30 minutes of tennant staring at people from a distance.

  • @getdrinking LOL¬!

  • Rip Doctor no 10, the best of them all

  • its been on

    plsplspls upload it!

  • I think that was really epic.

  • I can't wait for the second part

  • 50 MINS!

  • hehe yeh cribbins manning the laser looks the best thing about it. I love Doc who from Hartnells era but these two specials, the end of time, have so far been shiiit :P the master is a crap villain and the time lords are a piffling race. WE WANT MONSTERS hehe

  • doctor who is probly not for u then.

  • LMFAO Wilf in that gunship thing

  • im so gonna cry when i watch this im emotional already

  • Beyond time? What does that even mean?

  • Gallifrey Rises!

  • If time ended, wouldn't they end with it?

  • I am so looking forward to Jan 1 it is going to be so sad. Yet, I am happy that we will have regular Dr. Who. This year has been a long one with only 5 episodes.

  • we wait...

  • Get your hankies ready...this is going to be a very sad episode.

  • I KNEW IT!!!! I KNEW GALLIFREY WAS COMING BACK!!

I mean, obvious genius I am.

  • I wonder how they're going to explain this away? :D

Though why is the doctor considering the return of the time lords a bad thing?

  • Perhaps beacause it is a TIME war it is constantly happening all the time and it is acctually ''the end of the time war''

it won't be the first time the time lords have been bad, they put the doc on trial twice, once causinng him to regenerate. There have been bad timelords like the master and the rani but the timelords were generally peaceful, but leading up to the time war and being invaded by sontarens ect they have become more hostile.

  • Ah, I see.

I never saw the older episodes (there just so hard to find!)

  • Well that time when they put him on trial was a purely bureaucratic decision. The time lords have a strict non-interference policy which the Doctor has violated (and continues to violate) time and again. It's like stealing from the rich to give to the poor. Even though you are doing a good thing you're still breaking the law. So it's not that the time lords are evil but rather they would be more of a Lawful Neutral nature always conforming to strict codes of conduct.

  • Well said!

  • the doctor has been bad...look at the waters of mars; just the most recent example of his interfering with a fixed point in time. It might have had a ripple effect on future events beyond simply rewriting the small details of earth's venture into space after Adelaide died.
