@pikapower96 Actually, if you go to Japan the literal meaning of the word "otaku" is just geek or nerd in general. But when it comes to us, yes, otaku is probably someone who really likes anime/manga a lot and isn't Japanese.
I'm personally 1/8 Japanese, but the language never got passed down in my family. I'm currently learning it in my high school. XD
