  • lol, I love how that one woman's visibly turned on

  • Good, Now go listen to 'Grigoras Dinicu Hora Staccato' here on you tube, the author of the piece and tell me who plays it better. Heifetz said himself that Dinicu was the greatest violinist he has ever heard. Trivia - Dinicu was rejected by the Vienna Conservatoir when he applied on the grounds that he was a 'gypsy'. Political corecteness did not even exist back then I guess... go figure :-)

  • This is so much LESS valuable interpretation comparing to the best violonist of the 20th century which was Gsigoras Dinicu (the author of this Hora Staccato, by the way).

It's a pitty that he does not have so many recordings, but one can tell there is a big difference between the 2: Grigoras plays it much better.

No surprise since he created it.

Heifetz is great for Paganini interpretations.

  • @rondpoint55 eh?

  • This makes me feel like a horrible violinist.. loolll

  • Heifetz makes it look so easy! Never breaks a sweat. And I love the kid chewing gum as he watches.
