  • Will laser tv be ablo to support 4 and 8K resolution?

  • boring.........

  • It would be cool if one could get a pc monitor with laser tech. The gammut is significantly increased but i wonder what's with the dynamic range. Current technologies stink in terms of fstops. I'm currently looking into geting a new monitor for photography purposes and im not verry confident about switching from my crt because i havent seen a good lcd live yet.

...I bet this laser technology could replace slide film in terms of color and dynamic range XD

  • I use an HD ecp4500 crt projector. displays more colour than lcd and dlp. no muddy picture from interpolation. No pixel gaps, 10 000 hour plus life span.

Xbox 360 is awesome and the dark knight scenes with the joker look dam awesome at 720p bluray on 140 inch screen.

Most don't realised cathode ray tube still produces a better picture than most technologies. Laser based crt like system wouldd be incredible for projection

  • I totally agree, current flat screens IMO have a long way to go yet, my old CRT trinitron produces MUCH nicer skin tone and natural looking colour than my plasma does aside from having no pixellation either... what a waste of cash that was

  • @n64roo yea totally.. crt is the best

  • time to market, 2007, mmm were now 2009 theres no one even talking about them, sony have just realesd there OLED tv, but come on were all waiting for this interesting technoligy, cant wait for all the faulty ones to start showing up at repair shops like the one i work in, nothing lasts and why can i see lasers dying and FADEING, everythings ages, best of luck guys but i feel its going to take a couple more years yet! Good luck

  • Mitsubishi offers 65 and 73 versions of LaserVue TVs since 3rd quarter of 2008. Google it.

  • WickedLasers has solid state lasers as powerful.

  • Hey ....where's John. John your TV is great but what's wrong with this video is.....no John. Give us a peek next video....

Keep up the cutting edge product Development.

    Nice Demo Peter.

  • this product is MIA .

    wtf where is it ?

  • offcourse

  • Boll marketing. Just show us the damn product, we don't need to hear this gobble-di-gook.

  • 2007 !!! again we hear this and they shows us that we are now coming up to 2009 ..... where is it oh! that's right its with the rocket pac and the flying car

  • blue green and red lasers have been around for years and just now they think of laser tv. a little late aren't we? or is it just for marketing purposes to sell out all the plasma and lcd tv's now and then make those people all upgrade to laser tv's. Most people are not that stupid you know.

  • they have not been able to get the green and blue laser bright enough in the past

  • Come on dude if you don't really know about the matter please don't post those things and make a total ass out of yourself. Now, this is a primary development the tendency is to actually use quantum dot semiconductor lasers, which i wouldn't be surprised they are actually using them mostly already. It's way cheaper and way better, it doesn't require any major upgrade of external hardware but if you don't like it that's fine. And finally, you're right, most people are not that stupid, but you are

  • just what i said, right. they've been using quantum dots already for tv. that's all

  • Yeah...I want a TV that limits the size of my viewing area...why you spend $4500 on your 65" TV that takes two people to hang on a wall, I'll be watching my InFocus SP4805 that I paid less than $800 for and can watch up to a 30' (thats foot) display...my usual display is 72". I can take the projector and carry it out the door in one hand.

I've never gon to a theater to see a movie on a TV set. Always a projector involved in home theater systems.

    (continued below)

  • You know I thought of doing that. However are they full 1080p and bright? Lamp life is short to.

  • Now have a 720p Sharp DT-510 no need for 1080p yet as there is no content broadcast AT ALL at that resolution. To spend a couple of thousand more just for BD is stupid. I'm pretty sure that laser PJ's are the future...no lamps to replace and lasers are cheap. I paid $600 for my DT-510 and have a 126" picture on my wall. Fantastic color! Very bright!

  • The reason I use 1080p is cause I hook my gaming computer into it and need that high resolution, There are plenty of programs in 1080i however I don't know what is different about 1080i and 1080p other than interlaced and progressive.

  • When you go from 1080p to an 1080i signal, then the quality of the deinterlacer comes into play. I have 1080i on my projector as well but rely on a de and re-interlacing for source material which is 720p and 480p/i.

Due to the number of lines, 480i/p looks awful on my screen. I only watch 1080i on my set with a few forays into 720p.

  • how is this any diffrent from a projestion tv people want flat screens not better projectioon tvs

  • Laser projectors are the future of HT and I can tell you that I haven't been this excited since I read an article in High Fidelity magazine in 1979 that heralded the development of the CD. I stopped buying vinyl then (except for Mobile Fidelity Half-Speed Masters)

The only reason you don't see the big boxes pushing them is that they don't make the money off of them like they do the other systems...good luck when a pixel goes bad on that $4500 TV.

  • wow that laser system is loud!

  • yeah I'm going to upgrade my spaceship cannons from plasma to laser :P

  • I am about to renew my tv and I wait to see what laser tv will do when they come out end this year/beginning next year.

  • i think mitubishi bought these guys to hold the tech back a few more years so they can still get money from lcd

  • Mitubishi will release laser tvs this year.

  • I think that secret company may be Mitsubishi.

  • 2007

    its now 2008 hellllllllllllooooooooooooooo

  • Ein Vorteil gegenüber den LCD-TV die mit einer un-dimmbaren überhellten Leuchtstoffröhre das Panel allmählich ausbleichen und dann das Schwarz grau wird.(Es gibt Ausnahme-Hersteller)

  • all hail OLED is here!

  • Lamp life is about 6500 hours. Using Standard mode. Cinema mode is more than 6500hrs.

  • Can this be used to replace the lamps in the current projection TV's. Secondly, have you launched this product? How much would this cost?

Would appreciate a note from you updating me on the same.

    Many thanks..

  • Who are you talking to exactly?

  • lol

  • its 2008 still not here

  • ich hol mir eins

aber wann kommen endlich nach europa raus?

angeblich mai2008 in us. aber wann nach europa?
