Calm down, leave Tomi alone, he has deep and melodic voice, but here he sounds like he has a runny nose. His growl is awesome and looks like he feels the song. Está claro que que ha habido un antes y un despues. Casi que se podrían ver dos grupos diferentes respecto a las voces y la personalidad que le ha dado cada uno de sus cantantes. Pero no es para cerrarse, ésta canción debe quedar ahí como indispensable para representar a Amorphis, y creo que Tomi cuida y respeta la esencia de lo anterior... Soy más de los primeros discos, pero el Amorphis actual está tambien muy bien trabajado y merece respeto sin tanta comparación.

They're compleeeeeetely different.  This really is a Pasi song, although Tomi can still hold his own. I always loved Pasi's voice because it was so unique, but he could never control his voice enough to make his performance flawless. Tomi has a completely unique voice also and it's awesome. Pasi wouldn't be able to sing Tomi's stuff.

Tomi dont sound good in Pasi's songs. There is too much tense in his voice singing regurar and then growling. And when he's not growling he makes an unnesesary prolongings. Thats too bad couse i like Tuonela and Am Universum :(

I saw them live with Pasi in 2000 and while the band was incredibly tight and inspired, Pasi's vocals weren't very good at all. Plus he looked bored out of his mind, or maybe he was trying to be "intense" or something. Anyhow, saw them again last year with Tomi and WOW!! Much, much better frontman.. better interaction with the audience and he sounded great. He's the total package.

If there's doubt about Pasi's ability to growl, you should check out his new projects, Shape of Despair and Ajattara. And in terms of clean vox, I feel that Tomi is...not to be mean, but lacking...he doesn't project and emote, his clean tone is too level...Don't get me wrong though, I don't dislike him, just prefer and miss Pasi.

My opinion is based on that fact that Tomi is much more talented singer than Pasi, you can truly notice that if u have listened any of Amorphis old tracks that have been resinged with new vocalist. Ofc there is some fans from the "old good times" that like Pasi better than Joutsen, but I can say what I think and imho this one fits in.
