0:00-1:42 is a splendid song in itself. Beautifully sad, entrancing and magically hopeful all at the same time. Add that to Chris Martin's passion and lyrical singing and it's a goddam masterpiece. Then 1:43- 2:53 would be an awesome intro to an entirely different song with an entirely different mood. And then the rest is genuine shit. Fuckin hate it... I'm not mad though. Great song, has a good flow started off melancholy and even when it hits its faster stride the subject matter is still sad.

Its difficult to mesh a soft begining a hard middle and soft ending and keep the pace.

This song is a perfect example of that occuring.

Actually, I've always taken 42 to be the meaning of life because it's the number you get when you total all the sides of a pair of dice.

One could say the meaning of life is the totality of all the results of the random dice cast by the invisible hand.

yeah, tell me you don't know the definition of a TWO PART SONG. the songs were made separately and stuck on the same track. there's a beauty to this composing that obviously some people cant comprehend. embrace it. what's the point of absorbing the emotional and musical genius if you just want it to be one way? the harmonic beginning is meant to give way to a more apparent and beautiful statement of life. it doesnt destroy it, it sets the stage.

As long as you believe that the dead are still here in any way, their memory will haunt you and you'll lose your sanity. You must let them go, let them move on. As you do this, you can move on as well. Grieving is difficult. No, not juggling difficult or doing calculus difficult. More like reversing the rotation of the galaxy difficult... it's just pure pain losing someone.
