  • This is simply brilliant. If you want in depth analysis of a football game, you don't have to look far. However, in the UK, and I suspect in other parts of the world outside of continental Europe, when it comes to cycling, there's a paucity of discussions like this. Great work!

  • 2:30: "When Euskatel riders start launching attacks in Belgium... " hahaha.

  • I know. the UCI really needs a promotion/relegation system to keep teams like Euskaltel from taking up space in the classics.

There's plenty of room at Spanish ProTour races for teams that just want to climb—why steal places in Wevelgem from a Belgian continental squad that might actually have a shot at pulling off the upset?

  • There is a new website launching soon that creates a system that may solve this problem, i will keep all informed when i find out more. The small information that i know so far sounds like it will be splitting the One-Day and Multi-Day events ranking and selection policies. They are looking to have the right teams in the right events with regards to potential team success, so no Euskatel at Roubaix or Flanders. As i said before i will update when i know more.

  • @cosmocatalano hey great videos man,I was also wondering where you watch races like this in the states. I can get some on universal and versus, but everything else is just highlights. Anyways, keep up the good work

  • Really smart analysis! I like your description of Hinault's sprint style: I've always been impressed with how he led the 81 Paris-Roubaix sprint from a whole lap out and still won. Also: it's interesting how Paris-Tours, although it's the "real" sprinter's classic, has been won by small breaks more often than you'd expect. I guess it's easier to pull that kind of move on a tired, end-of-season peloton.
