I listened to this song after I bought the cd so I could listen to "Kiss the Air." It struck me as having a haunting feeling to it so I looked up the lyrics. I was interested to read the background though, because it wasn't what I thought of when I heard the song. I imagined a mother holding her child in her arms trying to comfort it as it passed away. I guess both stories are appropriate.

I'd downloaded this the song without knowing anything about it other than that I liked Liz Callaway. Not being able to find it on my pc, however, I eventually forgot about it. Finally found it today, listened to it, and am emotionally done in. And that's without knowing the background of the story. it felt to me as if someone were singing me an eternal lullabye.

Will definitely get this cd or the downloads. Thanks for posting (and for writing it!). And to Ms. Callaway for singing it.

I think Liz is the epitome of a great singer. Everything about her voice is amazing. The tone, articulation, etc...AMAZING!! Her interpretation is so refined and decorated with different nuances that shape the music.
