war is not a game i mean on ps3 you die and come back to life wether real war you get shot you either die or you bearly survie these soilders were the reason were alive today i mean if they didnt go to war we would be speaking fucking japanese or german languages so we should watch this show for our soilders not for us for our soilders who gave there lives to protect us
R.I.P to all the brave women and men who fought for us.
I love this series. As an American it gives me a glimpse of what the war was like from our allies points of view. American documentaries only focus on our servicemen and their struggles - a few even show the German and Japanese side of the war, but I haven't seen anything like this series. It's wonderful.
@sharkinfested Thank You for your comment. As an Australian whose family has been involved in WWI WWII and Vietnam it sometimes causes resentment here in Australia when American Documentaries imply that the US fought these and other wars all on their own. In terms of numbers our contribution may be relatively small, but Australian forces have often been crucial to the outcome. It is a little known fact outside Aus. that our forces were the first to stop the Japanese advance anywhere in 1942.
I'm extremely looking forward to this. My great grandpa was in the war, luckily survived and came back home. He died, but he'll always be remembered at the war memorial in Canberra. Love channel 9 for showing this, I think it's really important to tell the younger generation what actually happened, have a happy ANZAC day, lest we forget.

Can I please ask what the music title is used at the start of the presentation. It is incredible to say the least.
