Good Lord you've made a difficult job into something incredibly difficult. THis series should be named, "How NOT to Remove a Rear Wheel. This is painful to watch.
@DFWKen Either remove the shock bolts (I prefer the upper bolts) and raise the wheel into the fender high enough for the axle to pull out between the left muffler and saddlebag rail; or pull the mufflers. But certainly not both.

Not sure why the shock bolts were removed. Not necessary, not on my '08 anyway.
