how to get internet on the psp

@collossus121 That's because it's a secured network. Unless you know whose network you're trying to connect to, it won't work. WEP, WAP, they all require passwords to connect.

@Spectrewing It basically means that they type of security that the router has isn't supported by the PSP firmware. What FW are you running? You might want to update it if you haven't already. Another thing you could do is ask whomever owns the router to see if they can change the security settings to something that works with the PSP.

you do NOT need to be right next to the router. thats the whole point of wireless connectivity. but you may want to see it anything may be blocking thesignals...lapms, etc...try that and get back to me...

you guys can get a router at any well known electronic store (best-buy, walmart, etc.). Or online. if it timed out, then the connection to the router may be weak. try going into another room. when it says "exchanging key info," it's just verifying that the key information used is correct. again, to get internet, you need a WIRELESS ROUTER!!! the PSP is wireless! ;]

as stated, the connection may be weak. this problem is usual with homes filled with electronic devices. just try to set up the internet on your psp again and adjust the router itself in a position where it is physically open to the surrounding. you dont want it to be hidden. HOPE THIS HELPED! :]

just try restarting the system and it should work again, also unlug the power from the router and plug it back in again so that the power is momentarily off, the try again.
