Well, maybe if you completely pressed the stick to the side, then yeah you'd do a complete left or right turn into a wall or hazard, but in 2006 you could just barely move it and it would do that, I didn't know which way to press half the time. Unleashed started getting this better, I heard Colors and Generations are basically the same system and I liked Generation's system...except for Crisis City ironically.

Eggman has never looked better and neither have his robots. *sigh* this game is SO underrated. I loved it. I would give it a 80%. The -20% comes from some annoying glitches, near impossible levels (Silver's Dusty Desert, End of the World). I like the upgrade system and the overall appearance of the game...except for Elise's orange legs. The final boss was epic, as was the music. A couple of helpful glitches. Use the Purple Gem to skip Sonic's Aquatic Base ball parts.

When I first heard they were gray, and that his glasses had all sorts of scanning equipment, I thought that maybe Dr. Eggman's blind, and those glasses are an eyesight-aid, acting as an external-retina with HUD equipment.
But it's the iris that's gray, not the pupil, so there goes that theory, lol.

@Celdrach I gonna be honest with you : the only Sonic game that I've played is Sonic Rush ^^' (I'm getting Sonic Generations this Christmas). So, I can't really tell about other Sonic 3D games.
Mario doesn't really need to get back to old school (anyway, he already did), because he didn't evolved that much IF YOU COMPARE TO SONIC.
Even if the gameplay is different at each game, the principle is the same : getting Princess Peach back from Bowser.

@goblinvert Eggman is currently residing in the Death Egg 2 (3?) you go and talk to him, and he sends you over to get cybernetic upgrades so you can join the Dark Egg Legion. You then are given upgrades, weapons, and a small, red, crystalline bomb implanted in you so if you try to defect you die. You are sent to fight against Sonic or sent to guard Eggman's crumbling holdings around Mobius. Still want to join?

The thing that surprised me the most about Colours was how everyone seemed to like it, a move not often seen by the Sonic fanbase!
I'm kinda waiting to see what minor, pathetic complaints people have regarding Sonic CD's remake.

@The94Venom Oh Jesus fucking Christ, don't get me started on the fanbase's reaction to Sonic 4. They beg for years that Sega make a new oldschool Sonic game, and then they get EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT, and they get all pissy about it! What the fuck is wrong with these people?! I love Sonic 4! I love every Sonic game that everybody hates, and I just don't understand WHY everybody hates them!

@goblinvert Eggman is currently residing in the Death Egg 2 (3?) you go and talk to him, and he sends you over to get cybernetic upgrades so you can join the Dark Egg Legion. You then are given upgrades, weapons, and a small, red, crystalline bomb implanted in you so if you try to defect you die. You are sent to fight against Sonic or sent to guard Eggman's crumbling holdings around Mobius. Still want to join?
