  • @Urban2006. LOL

  • What was that beat at the end? i like that.

  • I thank God for Common everytime I turn my ipod on

  • the last verse is like an all time greatest verse, arguably......., the story, the metaphors, the flow, the arrangement, everything about it was crazy

  • see, you can't sell your soul and still be relevant. you can't hide your soul from SOUL PEOPLE.

  • This was my favorite album of 2007

  • what are the very first lyrics at the beginning?

  • I think Kanye West is one of the best artist/producers in hip-hop history, lets judge his music & not his antics or personal life i respect him for his increible muscial mind he is a genius so lets stick to the scrip which is comment on his skills and not if hes a faggot, truth be told Kanye is more believible & real then 90 percent of these other rappers who are undercover faggots and lie about they street status...

  • ill track common always produce food for thought

  • Why they messin wit yo mind.. black maybeeeeee

  • Comment removed

  • Made a remix with this beat and The Way I Am vocals by Eminem, a bit more aggressive approach, go to this youtube link:

    /watch?v=DWbiUvsKzKg

if you feel like listening to it

  • There's NO ONE THING Kanye West about this tune!!! This is true real hop hop !

  • U right that nigga is now known more for his tantrums than his music.i dont understand the brainwashing thats going on today.

  • @Urban2006xx lol

  • @Urban2006xx just cause he switched up his style doesn't mean he's a faggot. and he still does this style of beats too.

  • @Urban2006xx I used to like the Kanye CD's. paid for them with pride, college dropout, late graduation, both the common albums. Tight Hip-Hop albums, but then Kanye started talking more, letting us know the cocky obnoxious, homosexual he is. . . . And then Graduation came out. KRS-ONE called it out, NOT A HIP HOP ALBUM, started much talk. Then Kanye did a GQ article where he said, Graduation is not a Hip Hop album it's. "stadium music" aka pushing units, pop music.

  • @Urban2006xx i know for rel. what a bitch. let glam get to his head. i common doesnt let these movies and media get to him

  • @Urban2006xx bro u dont know how serious that makes me man! kanye west has to much talent to throw it away for people like drake man. I thought drake was ok (nowhere as bad as lil wayne but I listened to his album online yesterday.) It sounded like a fuckin mixtape. I was not impressed and as of right now nobody should be kanye west either

  • @Urban2006xx Hahahahahahaha couldn't agree more. Kanye was a beast on production man.

  • @Urban2006xx

Common is a Poet, Hip Hop is just his podium.

Chicago was the jumpoff a couple of years ago until Kanye lost his mother. Give that brother some slack, man. There's no greater loss like a loved one. Kanye and Common is STILL the purest dynamic duo in the game. Real lyrics, real beats, real conscious.

  • @Urban2006xx Yep, he's a real gay fish now... This is pretty much a classic in my book. :-)

  • @Urban2006xx thank you!!!!

he used to be pretty good

  • @davidptapia1 He still is good, his ego just got to his head for good sakes i think when he shits it's a rose out of the garden of eden.

  • @Urban2006xx

Men sorry but I'm from Spain and I don't know what is "faggot", I always see that word, can you explain the meaning?

  • @adriayala quiere decir "puñal, puñeta, joto, gay"

  • @Urban2006xx Actually he just evolved his sound. No point in doing the same shit over and over again, so backpackers stay satisfied.

  • @Urban2006xx Many Artists Start Off In Tha good guy Phase,Then Once Theyre In,In....Like they aint goin nowhere,They Turn into Assholes

  • @Urban2006xx

uh...he got WAAAAY better at producing his skills expanded

  • @MrBigratman shut the fuck up!. jesus... nobody needs to know that.

  • why dey messing wit ur mind

  • cut the song short?

  • cuz up north nuggas always hatin on atliens.....sayin we dont kno real hip hop n shit.....but this my shit

  • actually, that's wrong (at least for me) cuz i think outkast has one of the best collection of albums in hip-hop (even Idlewild was good). Scarface is a legend and Lil Jon started a whole new movement...respect the south

  • bgmc123 im sorry but most southern dudes making too many soulja boy type songs so thats why the south isnt recognized for lyrics

  • One word. Outkast..

  • no goodie mob

  • them too just first group that comes to mind is outkast

  • @klb2116 i feel ya. soo true!

  • @klb2116

    most Southern dudes YOU know

  • @klb2116 naw dat aint true. if anythang da south is from where most of the soul comes from in hip-hop

  • @couchpotatoe129 MOST??? Who got you believing that lie? I fux with Pastor Troy and Outkast and the like...But to say that that's where MOST of the soul music of hip-hop comes from the South is total nonsense.

  • @ChiNigATL hes obviously an idiot that knows nothing about music. you only heard of a FEW southern rappers back in the day..just recently all these crunk music southern rappers have emerged, courtesy of lil jon..you can't forget about the originals or even where most good hip-hop is comin from..the north

  • @ChiNigATL naw if u lived dwn here u wud kno wat im tawkin bout and im nt tawkin bout radio mainstream. gt on sum of da underground stuff dat u only kno bout dwn here. i live in texas wbu??

  • @couchpotatoe129 I'm from Chicago, live in Atl now. I was referring to the South as GA, FL, AL, NC & SC..Along with TN. I don't consider TX to be a part of the South. I fucked with Scarface and the Geto Boyz as a kid too. It's a difference between glorifying the hood and rapping about it. I don;t think that Face and them (like Common and etc) actually LIKE hood life. That's my problem with it. The shit's ignorant.

  • @ChiNigATL i got dat same problem bt i like da songs dat actually motivate and want to do betta and by gettin out da hood it makes dem a betta person and dey wanna do more now dat dey dun got out

  • @klb2116 Which I don't get because Outkast and Luda lyrics is raw. The South have good lyrics, but most don't.

  • @klb2116 tell it!!!!

  • @klb2116 it's not that rough in the south lol so we have nothing to rap about lol we dance!

  • @klb2116 you said most, and I agree, I'm from the south tho, NC, and there's a lot of talent here. J. Cole, Little Brother, new chick named Rapsody and a few other artists under 9th Wonder on the come-up.

  • Damn this cd go hard as fuck and im From GA

  • and whats with you bein frm GA got to do with listenin to common?

  • amazing, more like this please

does anyone know if Common is working on the new album?

  • i hope so. cause i wasnt really feeling his last joint. he need to take it back to his original formula. and stop trying to go pop. but thats just my opinion. He his own Man and He do what He want. im still a fan. Peace to the Man anyway...

  • @amphotep its cause he just want some of that commercial money probably but even so he still going harder than other dudes in my opinion

  • i think his last project would have did better if he just kept doing what he was doing. the industry finally started to recognize him for staying conscious. then bang! he start talking about sex and strippers. before it was marriage and abstinence. and thats what the industry needed, balance. like i said, im still a fan, but i think dude sold out

  • Common never sold out. He just expanded as did every rapper who is Mainstream now.

  • joint is crack . . . but wats that beat at the end wen dude from track fiends is talkin? ik its from oceans 11

  • produced by kanye west himself;

common + kanye west : BDOAT - Best duo of all time

  • One of the current rappers I have respect for. His music like Tilib, Mos Def and Jigga have content and they talk about something. Gicci, soldier boy and jezzy Need to talk lessons and stop putting out that bullshit

  • Common is straight up black...too deep for many...but i dig him...

  • most underrated rappers common & lupe fiasco

  • this is not the version on the album. it sounds slightly different

  • Common is one of the mos talented rappers of all time

  • CHILLS!!!!

  • thats what i call hip hop

  • it was from Gary Bartz

  • the original sample is from Syreeta- Black Maybe

  • It sounds more like "boy" than "bow"

  • You've seen the way they've done your bow

And the bow's still down... down... down............ down... down

Like maybe you better come around

stevie wonders syreeta wright black maybe

  • love dis song ive allwayeds love common

  • i love this song

  • What's that person saying at 0:00 to 0:10

  • Ever heard of Ben Wilson? I think Common's talkin' bout him. D-Rose wore Benji's no. 25 during high school and college. So did Nick Anderson and Juwon Howard. Ben was ranked #1 in da nation going in to his senior year at Simeon back in '85 I think. Ben Wilson met the fate Common rapped about in this incredible song...on the eve of the start of the season. A 6'9" Magic Johnson/Penny Hardaway prototype. Rumored to be considering the jump from preps to pros 10 years b4 Kevin Garnett did it....

  • this shit if fucking scary. listen to the part about the basketball player... its like he talking about derrick rose and this is writen when he was like a freshman at simeon

haha idk maby hes not and im crazy but either way it a great song

  • He's talkin about Ben Wilson...It actually happened. DRose, Nick Anderson, Juwon Howard, and Cappie Pondexter all wore #25 in honor of Benji...

  • this is my song..

    the beat is so soothing..

  • Common is a rap legend. He's still rapping 16 years after his debut album, and he continues to grow as an artist. He is the essence of hip hop. A true MC. Mos Def Lupe Rakim Andre 3000 Raekwon Ghost Talib Common Canibus Not all inclusive, but those are some of the tightest to touch a mic. I Love Hip Hop Music!

  • Immortal Technique? Nas?

  • One of my favorite songs, dudes like Common, Nas, and Immortal Technique are life support for Hip Hop. These dudes keep the culture of intelligent realism in Hip Hop alive.

  • WHOO. He snapped on this 1. i have the album i listen to it every day :)

  • i love this with a passion i loved common from day one... fuck racism... equality

  • this here is real hip-hop common isnt a rapper but an emcee he drops knowledge not ignorant lyrics. he uplifts his people. thats what hip-hop is all about. what you have today is rap. a watered down version of hip-hop where every artist talks about hoes, flossin, rims, weed, snappin, and trappin that is not what we need at the moment. what we need is someone to be real. we need more artists like common.
  • 1st of all common raps bout weed, so fix that.

common is raw, but no1 is completely holy. we need both sides man. if we aint have sides, it'll b fake. no1 speaks proper, and about upliftment allllll the time.

up needs down, east needs west

  • same studs shot him in the back....

  • sarcasticly a white man's yes is maybe- t bout never ever, souped up like lemon flavors, not even baithin apes could escape, yes I fight n rep stuff too deep for democrats and cats, and what not..bla bla bla bla... IOI---IoI---*The track is ill*

  • They say a white man's yes is a black maybe, now that's black...Maybe? Lol say that to yourself with Common's voice lol
