  • Sad to see China alter the beauty of the Yangtze.

  • @FloridaRaider yeah that's sad, i will never have change to see that. however, you know the Yangtze River floods every year.. building a dam is a way to avoid the flood..

  • Excellent video :-). I love videos like this. It's very educative. The Yangtze River is beautiful and powerful.

  • amazing spot, really amazing location, beautiful place.

  • It is a nice video but please do not have two languages together.

  • @thinktok youtube need multichannel audio... we have the technology since VCD, why can't youtube have the same option available? =)

  • We all know the other name of the Yangtze River, Chang Jiang, is known as "Cheung Kong" in Cantonese, but, would "Yangtze River" itself be known as "Yeung Ji Kong" in Cantonese?

  • Yes, I was confused when I heard the the Chang Jiang river being called Yangtze. Can you tell me why this is?

  • Yes, the Yangtze River gets its term from "Yang-tze Chiang" ("Yeung-ji Kong" in Cantonese, "Yangtse Kiang" in Postal Map, and "Yangzi Jiang" in Pinyin). The name is derived historically from the old ferry crossing of Yangzi Jin ("Yeung-ji Kam" in Cantonese, and "Yang-tze Chin" in Wade-Giles) which spanned between Yangchow and Chinkiang. The generic term "Yangtze River" was first heard by all the missionaries and traders who first saw this long river.

  • Hmmmm so this is what the lands of the Wu dynasty looked like not badlove the view.

  • wow. I wish I could visit there one day, but....

why is a monkey eating corn? I didn't know corn grew near the Yangtze or in the forest at all.

  • Yangtze River Small Three Gorges 0947akpcSAIN

  • breathtaking expansive natural landscape, forbidding steep cliffs, outstanding awe-inspiring beauty

  • My husband traveled on the Yangtze River in 2004 and again in 2007. The Gorges are high enough that there should still be a lot left! We saw where entire cities had been moved.

  • it is the most beutiful place in the world it is sad that china is planning to destroy it with building a dam!

  • Comment removed

  • @orrises The Chinese gov is not planning to destroy the river by building a dam. They are trying to prevent more yearly damages caused by the flooding of that river by building the dam.
