I hope you are playing. Re audio newest lines feel cheap very cheap compared to sundown. Ive had a chance to compare both companies and sundown without a doubt has a better build quality. RE audio newest speakers feel cheap not including MT and XXX series. If there was a comparison of the Se vs SA12 the sundown will win, and can double the Rms rating while walking over the RE. Ever since re audio started their new line build quality has been B.s......Soundown ftmfw or go home.
@sneakysh13 i only use the xxx 15s. had a nightshade 15 on the same amp and it caught on fire doin burps. only did 139db in my truck, all i did was switch subs and got 147.5 db. i burped the xxx over and over and it didnt even heat up. so i am ordering another and a dtr 3400d soundstream amp. i did the 147.5 at 33 hz too. the sundown peaked at 46 hz. i also had a voltage drop so i never got to see what the RE sub could really do.
@tommybashop then you had a bad sub or fucked something up. nightshades, when installed correctly, are competitive with the best of the best. Re xxx isnt even an "SPL" sub. the xbl^2 motor is intended for lower frequency, sq associated reproduction; hence your peak at 33hz.
@Boomyurblown i try to stay away from non musical systems because i dont drive around plaing test tones all day, and every build i have done peaked low. just the nature of my truck. i hope to get it peaking a bit higher with my new build. and im using a branch of sundown, obsidian audio.
have you metered that?
