  • I need to NOT be living in the UK... =/

  • so how exactly do u culturize the almonds?

  • @Sunny066 i think you soak them, then blend them with coconut milk then just leave them for a few hours...i think

  • Why does Lou not wana be in front of the camera ? -

  • I don't care what "Fit for life" says when it comes to proper food combos. It's all good!

    Lou, You got my respect.

Motivating vids Dan, keep up the 10 minute vids. Love you guys...

  • I wud love to start eating healthy... The raw food way but there's so much information... I don't no where to start!!!

  • I am a huge fan but I gotta say this: bananas are sweet fruits (the dried goji berries too) and strawberries are acid fruits - so fruit combining says they shouldn't be mixed. Also some say you can mix acid fruits with nuts, others say don't mix them and don't mix protein with sugar (nuts with fruits). There's a lot of conflicting info out there about food combining. Everyone agrees you shouldn't combine protein and carbohydrates, but when you get into details I'm not sure what's right...

  • love raw food im about to make my first raw blue berry cake! mmm i cant wait to make it and to taste it i hope it turns out good!

  • aw man !!!!!!! brothers you have to tell me where do you purchase one of those coconut buddy scoopers?!!! thats a pretty clever device

  • @TRUEFUNKSOULDIER yo you can use a silicone/plastic cake spatular i use it all the time much better than spoon or melon baller

  • @wazrasta really?wow ill give it a try..thanks alot

  • I'm just wondering if this is a pre workout or post workout smoothie

  • @soletraveller post for your protein intake :D

  • Dude, love your videos. But you ramble a lot and get off topic. Make a script! And make your vid's shorter. People don't want to watch 13 minutes of anything on youtube. Just a little constructive criticism.

  • @love2bestowe lol dude everyone loves his long ass videos just skip through what you dont like ;D p.s. and his rambling

  • Just made me this exact smoothie about 10 mins ago. BOMB!

  • I dont like protein powder. but I like straws and coconut. r u vegan?

  • hey ive been really busy so I havent seen your latest vids , you still look healthy and sharp. great vid. Im going on a liveregenerator marathon now, seeeya.. :)

  • you've got to love Lou...thanks Dan!

  • Fantastic mix! Question: I keep reading about how it's not good to mix fruit and fat. Is this more BS? (You both don't look like you're suffering from it!) Also, how does eating raw fruit affect candida?

  • I've been a vegan for about 4 months now. I've cut down about 15 pounds and body fat and think i've gained more muscle as a vegan then eating meat. And I feel 10X healthier and more energetic.

  • @7in

  • my fucking god that looks good lol

  • For Krista, I think you should say that if people go to Amazon through your link, you get a few pennies. Also I think you should add the plastic sprouting lid, and a super cheap juicer to your list. I've been watching for weeks, but was stopped by the price tag. Finally, I picked up a Juice man Junior, which got the best ratings for under $100, and went through your link to Amazon. Lots of love!

  • Your Great love it gotta try out these.

  • that looks like an incredible recipe

  • Great work you guys are doing

  • JUST TAKING A SURVEY GUYS.... WHO YALL THINK WOULD WIN IN A FIGHT DAN THE MAN VS. CORONA ???

    THNX

  • @neco461

I got my money on Corona, he looks tough as nails. :P

  • @neco461 CORONA. No question about it....

  • @neco461 I think Lou is stronger (old man's strength) but Dan has more endurance (cos he mountain bikes 100 miles). Tough call man, id say either one of them can win depending on who is better on the day by unanimous decision.

  • @neco461

    they would never fight

  • @neco461 it would be a draw becasue niether would touch eachother lol

I don't want to eat meat , but I have been toying with using spirulina to boost my amino acid intake . Hemp protein ? Thanks for your time .

  • Good stuff Dan, love the variation.

    Norway.

  • Thanks Dan, Krista, and Lou

    you are on fire!!!!!

  • After we soak almonds.. what is the correct way to store them? Please help!

  • @susantoyeful It's better to just soak enough that you want to use, rather than trying to store them. I mean, you're storing them before you soak them anyway.

  • Thank you Lou for chosing to come out into the spotlight for the benefit of thousands of Dan's viewers! I truly appreciate it, as I am sure we all do. Thank you.

  • lou needs to pull the dildo out of his ass

  • Can someone direct me to the place on youtube that will teach me the rules of posting and repsonding to comments. i was just told on another video of Dan's that i had responded to too many and I needed to type the text in the image provided. When i tried to do that I had problems with it. I have a number of questions of this nature and don't know where to get them answered. Thanks for helping me.

  • I was at Sur La Table store today and joking about how this lady should have her kids watch you to lose weight, because I'm really inspired by your videos, especially about how eating raw expands my aura. I never thought of it that way. The other lady working at the store knew about you! You're becoming very well known! Sur La Table could hire you to demo Vitamix (her favorite juicer), and inspire people. (get it? Bring spirit into people?). God bless!

  • "You know back in the day I had long hair ..pause... I still wear it ya know..pause... as a disguise kind of a thing." bahahaha. I love you guys. <3

  • Hi Dan and Lou, I was always lead to believe that fat and fruit dont mix?! How is it that you guys can consume that kind of smoothie, is it bc of the digestive enzymes you both take or do you take loads of probiotics before hand, would love some advise on this, thanks

  • haha i have those glasses and guests always complain how heavy they are.....haha, i thought i was the only one to have those

  • whats the length of his hair got to do with anything?

    strange guy

  • As much as I love your message (despite it's delivery sometimes, hahah, but that's just you, being you), I believe that the "raw food"--with the implicit goal being vegetarianism--is just not viable due to some people's living geographies. I don't think the people of the Scandinavian islands could live off of nuts, fruits, and vegetables alone. It gets cold up there man! Point is: Have you ever read "The Metabolic Typing Diet" by William Wolcott? If so, I'd like to hear your thoughts on that.

  • I can't wait to try this smoothie. I also want to get the nutriton essentials powder. I think it could help. I've been low on energy lately and need to get back to being energized asap. Thanks Dan and Lou for this vid. Amazing as always :) .

  • dan you are looking more buffed

  • Thank you Lou! If you know anything about Lyme Disease, Dan or Lou, please mention it on a video......I am trying to help my poor boyfriend....he just got bitten by a deer tick and is so sick. He's taking strong antibiotics and is on all raw diet, but not feeling better. Anyone know anything about Lyme??

  • And who is going to be next person to STAND AND APPLAUD KIRISTA FOR HER WORK !!! come on people, let's participate in that standing ovation for the lady !

Love you you all.. St's stand and applaud guys !

Rosalind xx lots of love !

  • @RosalindandPearls Stand and applaud gals and guys.

    An applauding gal. ( ; - )

  • what a shame, to me. here three people i still try to watch on a regular basis coz they still seem so true to me-- michael arnstein, a guy named harley (don't know his last name) and chris kendall. blessings all/ways

  • lou is great, i'd love to hear more from him.

  • I stand and applaud KRISTA for all of her hard work ! BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO

Standing ovation from Quebec city, Canada, I love you all guy,

    Rosalind xxxx

  • Great Vid!!! Thank you so much to you and Lou ! Now, I have an idea : how about all the regular viewers that have follow you, we stand up and applaud KRISTA for all of her hard work making those vids possible for us.. ok.. lets do it.. 1, 2, 3: BIG ROUND OF APPLAUDS FOR KRISTA ! Please stand and reply with me.. just reply: I stand and aplaud for KRISTA. !

We all love you Dan for what you do, but I think that, finally, KRISTA deserve to our appreciation.. Love to you all ! Bravo !

  • been looking forward to these videos!!

  • Wow you were right dan, after watching you for about 6 months and starting a raw food diet i am now seeing what the origin of consciousness and vibrations is and it is a scary thing...i can see why people eat the heavier foods to stay grounded to the world we are attached to.

  • You guys are awesome! Thanks Lou for sharing all your knowledge and getting yourself into the masses with videos like this!

  • that sounds and looks delicious!

  • Yummeeeeeee!!!

  • we havent watched all your recent vids.. been a bit busy, but looks like you are doin less of the fresh raw package free stuff and more of the packaged and fat-dense things now... i remember your old "salads" made of a plate of tomatoes, cucumber, and fresh veggies with no packaged fixins. hope you are still feeling great :) looks like it! keep us posted on how the high fat deal is goin :) much love....

  • I've been raw for five years. I'll never touch meat again.

  • I'm so glad to see that Lou has teemed up with you (or you with him), and decided to spread his LOVE.. Much appreciated, to the both of you!!

Love and light, to one and all!

  • Dan, Lou...a thousand times...thank you! Thank you for your knowledge, for sharing it with us. I am looking forward to turning my health issues around with your amazing knowledge and recipes. God Bless you both and can't wait for the following videos to come.

  • Fortunate indeed I have completly turned to the raw food way with minmal relapse and I feel so much better. Also my body oder smells awesome!! More Lou and Dan please!

  • Great video Dan. It's just a shame that you use stuff that just isn't available in the UK. Thai Coconuts would have the biggest carbon footprint to get them here.

  • Thanks! im going to try this soon! :D

  • OH my God, that looks so good. Lou has so much energy he is like exploding! ;-) I want to hug Lou! So huggable.

  • Awesome, can't wait to try this recipe! Thank you so much Dan and Lou!

  • Alright! Thanks, Lou!

  • holy yum*!!!

  • Animals in nature eat whatever their instinct perceives as edible, but in the case of human beings, it is social convention that determines what is food and what is not food, what type of food we shall eat and on what occasion.

The human stomach can digest practically anything, so that the distinction edible/inedible, and ‘raw’ or ‘cooked’ is founded on a cultural rather than a physical basis.

  • The smoothie looks delicious! I haven't tried the coconut meat . Does it cause wt gain? i am trying to lose another 15 lbs. Dan you friended me on fb but you also friended me on you tube and commented but it doesn't show up on the youtube acct because I was bumped off 3 times and now it has been working. Hope to hear from you. I am about 10 weeks eating raw about 80%20%vegan , juicing every day!

  • this is awsome. I drink a smoothie every morning, so i'll be sure to try this.

  • That look so good. Dan you really look good.

  • Lou - walking, living example. He's doing something right!

  • hey guys, david wolfe shows teh best way to open a coconut. you don't have to hold it at all and it's super fast...good for kids to put a straw in without spilling. check it out and keep up the great work! search david wolfe coconut bc i couldn't paste the link here

  • @bkershaccount The only problem with the way David teaches, is that certain people can't get the meat out.

  • NO ICE???

  • Great to see Lou - thanks for bringing him to us - looking forward to seeing him with long hair .!! You are the ultimate power duo .... Gonna make that smoothie for my brothers !

  • Can Lou cure Rheumatoid?

  • I feel healthier just watching you two.

  • Love seeing the energy back in you Dan. ♥

  • SORRY TO SAY THIS BUT I JUST DONT BUY THE NUT, ENZYME, PROBIOTIC, VARIOUS POWDER SUPPLMENTS THING AT ALL. EACH AND EVERYONE TO THEIR OWN PATHWAY, BUT FOR ME THIS IS SCREAMING NO NO NO. LOTS OF LOVE MISSCPB XXX

    /watch?v=mL-5y0BeAqs

  • great videos Dan the man and Lou the dude

    i love you brothers\

    Captain Raw

  • How can that protein supplement be raw? It´s not possible.

  • @XES119 Sure it can! Cold processing. Plenty of raw superfood protein powders exist out there. Sun warrior, Garden of life's raw protein and many more...

  • @SecretsOfLongevity

It´s dehidrated, extracted and powdered and people call it raw?!

    That´s a marketing squeme.

    +28 bucks for Corona.

  • @XES119 Raw means uncooked. Yes it's not freshly picked straight from a garden like a zucchini or lettuce, but the amino acids are still all in tact if it's unheated. It's simply another option to use in addition to whole fresh foods. Marketing scheme?! He's offering a product he likes and uses himself. Is selling something a crime? Are hardware stores crimes for selling nuts and bolts they know are effective for a specific job

  • @SecretsOfLongevity

I do not mean to fuel discussion.

Raw is not just uncooked. Raw is in natural form. That powder is not raw.

People are free to makes the choices they feel are the best.

The scam is when anyone will try to convince that such a product is by any means necessary or useful in order to achieve top health. I would even suggest it to to be deterimental, or in the best case, useless.

  • @XES119 I think discussion is perfectly OK, it's always constructive if kept civil. I have heard many people give different definitions of what "raw" means. The dictionary gives this for RAW:

    –adjective

    1. uncooked, as articles of food: a raw carrot.

Now that is simple enough, yet the idea of unprocessed is actually used but not when describing food. This is the next entry for raw:

    2. not having undergone processes of preparing, dressing, finishing, refining, or manufacture: raw cotton.

  • Comment removed

  • @XES119 Again, it comes down to the interpretation of a word. Fresh and raw whole foods are great, no one is denying that. Lou is yet another person who has a practice where he looks at peoples blood and determines where they're at and what they need. It's interesting to note that all the long term raw food teachers that look at bloodwork also promote a certain amount of food based supplements and/or superfoods. If you're going to argue against this please provide non-anecdotal evidence.

  • It´s not about interpretation of a word. Powders are not raw. They might be uncooked, but not raw. They are only perceived to be raw by those who market them.

"Raw foodism is a lifestyle promoting the consumption of uncooked, unprocessed... " wiki

Supplements are the most refined foods on earth, and superfoods are lacking the super.

Expert healers eliminate deficiencies not by overexposing the patient to the nutrient, but by eliminating the cause of the deficiency.

    Anecdotal? lol

  • @XES119 Anecdotal, as in not just your opinion. Again if you wish to critic something let's see some evidence that isn't just "it's wrong because I say so". This is dogma, it exists in religion and it exists in the dietary world. I'll be happy to respond when there is something of value to respond to.

  • Hey, aren´t you the guy that compared steroids to fruit sugars?

Artificial lab drugs compared to the most perfect source of fuel for the human organism?

    haha! Talk about anecdotal!

    You´ve got nothing.

    bye.

  • @XES119 If you can't step up to the plate you resort to underhanded attacks, good one.

Hey, aren't you the guy that viciously insulted my viewers and myself on my channel without providing a shred of evidence for your stance and then went on and on repeating the same outdated natural hygiene beliefs... yes you are.

  • Comment removed

  • @XES119 This is my last response as you are bent on personally attacks to get your point across. People seem to agree as someone has marked your post as spam...

You slipped Doug in there when he doesn't treat disease, he promotes lifestyle. I agree with the work of the other three on diet to a degree and we're not even discussing exactly what foods to eat we're (or were) discussing dehydrated superfood powders. BTW everyone you mentioned (except Doug) recommend supplements in various amounts.

  • @SecretsOfLongevity

Doug still continues to treat disease. And all of those doctors promote lifestyle changes instead of drugs. None of them supports supplementation (Ornish does fish oil).

I am not attacking your choice to take supplements. Go for it. I am saying they are not required to be healthy.

  • @XES119 Either on their websites or in articles they have written that I found within a minute of searching on the web, I found various supplements (some don't even advocate whole food supplements over synthetics!) or superfoods that each of them recommended. While a wholefood supplement or superfood powder are of course diminished after processing, they still add nutrition and vitality to the body without having to take extra bulk.

  • Dr. Mcdougall has articles against the use of supplements and does not sell any. Dr. Alan Goldhamer does not sell or advocate supplements. (He says test for b12 before taking it.) Dean Ornish does not sell supplements (recommends fish oil?) Dr Doug Graham does not advocate them. Dr. Esselstyn? (calcium?)

Supplements certainly have an application. Similarly to drugs. But they are not the means upon which health is constructed.

  • @XES119 I am against synthetic supplements myself:

Dr. Goldhamer sells them on his site: healthpromoting (dot) com (slash) catalog (slash) supplements

Dean Ornish recommends fish oil and an occasional cup of skim milk for B12 (odd as milk is quite low in B12).

Dr. Esselstyn recommends calcium, D3 and B12. (search "esselstyn on supplements", it's the second result)

And Dr. Mcdougall although he is overall against supplements, does recommend B12, just search it and skim through the articles.

  • @SecretsOfLongevity

Had no idea Goldhamer sold supplements.

Anyway, I believe it´s based on extraordinary medical precaution rather than actual need. The b12 issue is the non-vegan´s last stance. (although an unfunded worry, considering b12 deficiency is more common in meat eaters) Supplements can be useful if patients are tested to be deficient and yet they are uncapable to achieve the required lifestyle modifications in order to address the issue.

  • @XES119 I agree, they're not required unless deficiency is present (and then food based supplements should be used first).

  • @SecretsOfLongevity why do you think natural hygiene is outdated? also re your mention of high fructose diets, what about Steve Pavlina in his raw for 30 days blog eating loads of fruit, and finding that he 'couldn't spike' his blood sugar if he 'tried' because he was sticking to low fat, also Sergei Boutenko completely curing his type 1 diabetes - type 1 not 2?

  • @XES119 NOT TRUE! It is an amazing product that is truly raw.
