@jparso3 I have been 5 times and have never had any real problems with anti-American activity. Visit places where there are lots of tourist from all over for your first time, and you will see Africa is great.

omg ur soo lucky! i love lions they're my favorite animal. i cant beleive how close u were to them... i thought the mothers are very protective of their cubs and would attack if anything or anyone got too close

I was in a jeep about 40 feet away. Had I been on foot or closer...the mother would have wanted us away. Kenya is such a beautiful place to see.

@Diana17xo they probally would drive/walk by every now and then getting a little closer each time so the pride gets used to them and lets them close by. Wit cubs tho, that's amazig. I lovelions too. ever since i was four. Im only eleven but i've already writen a book on them. I hope to research in kenya some time when im older for a year or two. i'll have to learn the langage of a near-by tribe to comunicate with others than the researchers.... sorry i type alot!!! ;

Sorry, i have no contacts for any Vets in Africa. Only here in US. I know some come from the states and are from zoos etc, and just donate time or intern over there. You could always pick a conservancy/camp and contact them to see if they use any vets. Or try the Kenya Wildlife Service. Good luck. also check out: Safaritalk(dot)net for info.

for pictures i use a basic canon rebel xt. And for video on this trip i had a canon elura 65.. all basic gear.
