to make a strop. get a leather belt treated or not. then take very low grit sandpaper and rough it up alot. then rub it on a cinderblock or rough concrete. then wipe it down with acetone or something similar. then blast it with a torch to dry out the leather real good. this works great and its cheaper then buying a $30 + plus strop. i might make a video on how i did it
CrMo= Chromoly, its a pretty strong steel used in bike frames and things of the such. For example, all high end BMX bikes are made of Chromoly, it usually doesn't snap or dent easily.
