good thing that l4D2 is working fine, whew! so upgrading from xp to win7-64 bit is easy on my MacPro 1st generation? do i reformat the partition first?
@shazzbot007 windows 7 64 bit i perfect never had an issue and this is widespead even at work on 64 bit windows 7 and besides you need windows 7 64 bit if you use more than 3gb of ram of which I do.
@pkerry12 I just went on the MS website, the only difference is that win 7 ulti has bitlocker (a program to encrypt files) and you can also swtich the language at anypoint with ulti, so Im going to get win 7 pro. ultimate just isnt worth the extra money
i have windows 7 ultimate for my desktop when i first bought it it was xp and it was slow but now my desktop is faster than my 2 month old windows 7 homepremium laptop
Compared to the 32-bit, would performance increase or decrease if I installed the 64-bit on a system with 2gb of RAM, or would there be no difference?
what do you mean mate? I am not solely a mac user, and because i am a corperate customer I have the full licensed copy of windows 7 Professional final release. Home users won't see this till october. :)
Hi I have a MSDN Account and i am currently downloading windows 7 pro 64 bit and windows server 2008 (Im a big server geek) and i cant wait to use it! Two questions for ya. Number one what song did u use in this video because i was for some reason un able to tag it, and nubber two why didnt you devote an entire machine to this beautefull new OS? I personally prefer to install OSX on a pc and no the other way arround. LOL Any way i cant wait to start gamming on it and figure out how it works!
The public RTM version is not the Final Release. The final release will be available October for home users etc.
Final release is how ever available to Corporate customers and developers only as the moment, if you want the final release you will see it in October.
Thanks for posting! Win7 looks good...can't wait till it comes out here in the US. I still vividly remember using Win3.1 back in the day...they've come a lonnng way since then :)

if you have less than 4gb of ram don't bother going to 64 bit.
say with 32 bit unless you plan to get 4gb or more ram.
