Here is a little info on Barron. He is a good pass blocker, not too good a run blocker (some on here said he was but he is not),and a penalty driven lineman. Barron is very athletic and plays well against pro bowl DEs but some how struggles against lower class DEs. If he can get a good enough Oline coach to discipline him then Barron can turn into a Pro Bowler, but if not he will be just a decent starter for the rest of his days. He does not have the passion for the game.

Thanks for the info. That was about what I've heard about him from scouting reports that I've read. He has pride (which is why he plays well against Pro Bowl DEs) but not enough pride in his profession to show up on a consistent basis. Which is why he's NOT the starter right away. He'll have to learn our system under Hudson Houck and prove to everyone that he wants it and that he is capable of doing it. So either we get a motivated talent or he never sees the field..

I'm pretty sure that if he keeps false starting and playing inconsistently, that he'll be on the bench; behind our pretty-good-already offensive line.. But thanks for the false excitement for us!!!!

Barron is an excellent run blocker who helped Steven Jackson run for over 1,000 yards in all five seasons including years of 1500 in 06, 1400 last year. Flo was not a good run blocker but thats my opinion. Barron is a guy who can play right and left tackle. Nice pickup who is likely to improve under Hudson this year.

the boyz should try and pick up demarcuss Russell. mcGee is not the answer as our number 3 quarterback Bartel was better then him i think russell will be good behind kitna and romo...lets go

JaMarcus Russell is lazy as he could be, fat, out-of-shape and not smart enough to grasp the Oakland playbook. He was the #1 overall pick 3 years ago and he's only won SEVEN games!!!! I wouldn't touch that guy with a 10 foot pole.

Yea I know that's what he plays now but I think he could easily be a LT convert under Hudson Houck. I trust that guy and I trust this is a good trade. We'll see though.

i think this is a great trade he can be a good player at worst be a reliable back up
