This game is a sequil to the movie, you kow this when you find Mac's voice recordings in whats left of his shack not to mention the remnance of the "Thing's" makeshift spacecraft and all of the little quotes throughout the game itself. To me it's by far the best movie based game of all time.

Get something like uTorrent or BitTorrent and find a torrent you can download from. There are guides all over the place. Just make sure you have plenty of anti-virus programs and scanners and check like crazy; you don't want to download 15 killer viruses onto your computer through tainted downloads (and there are an ass-ton of those out there).
